Hi Charlotte
I would have thought that the responsibility for replacing any broken / damaged parts would be down to the delivery company, unless of course you signed anything prior to delivery which may absolve them.
If you can post up the make and model number i’m sure someone would be able to help.
Deleted your duplicate post, it’s much easier to keep it to one thread 😉

ModeratorRe: Stoves 900GDOT install question
Hi Paul
Aha twenty amp spur and not the 30 as I had thought 😉
A combi microwave, if you set it to say a dual cook mode ie microwave and grill it will normally cycle betwen the two functions not both at the same time, therefore you are not exceeding 13A.
Back to the oven, In addition to the grill there is the clock and ignition to think about as well and if all 3 functions were in use at the same time then yes it could take you over the 13A limit. Better to be safe than sorry, which is why they have probably gone down the 20A route.

Hi Paul
If you already have the oven it will state the electrical connection requirements in the installation notes within the instruction booklet.
If you are the pre purchase stage then a call to the Stoves Product Information Helpline on 0844 24 84 149 would be the best option for the correct answer.
I supplied the Belling equivalent to a customer a little while ago and IIRC the recommendation was for a 30A supply.

As far as the physical size goes Mike I think the width will be the same but they were taller IIRC by about 3 inches, so at worst all that would be required would be a small infill panel.

ModeratorRe: Whirlpool – reliable?
Hi
Not a bad machine that Whirlpool, can be expensive on spares at a later date though. Price with the delivery charge is £209, for an extra £20 I would much rather have This Zanussi as it comes with free delivery. Much cheaper on spares as well should they be needed in the future.

Hi Spencer
A good article here in our buying guide, the models quoted have probably been superceded but the principle is still the same. The Siemens is probably a good bet to be fair.

ModeratorRe: Range Cooker – which size?
Hi meggles
Your flexible budget would have to increase a little if you are after a reasonable appliance like Rangemaster who are probably about the best under 2k. Over this figure then you are into Falcon, Brittania etc.
Another option is to have two single ovens side by side under the worktop and a large gas hob above in the worktop.
Have a look around your local currys and Comet at the sizes of ovens which will have the oven capacities on the energy labels for you to be able to compare.

ModeratorRe: Where to buy appliances
Hi Doris
The Master partner will have a much wider range of appliances on display for you to choose between and will be able to offer a high level of pre sales and after sales advice should it be required.
These centres like the Acredited ones are right up to date with the latest products and are capable of full demonstrations as well. You would do well if you have a Master Partner near you as there are not that many around the UK. As for prices if you are replacing a few machines you should get a reasonable deal I would have thought.

Hi shabz
If you can give it a couple of days as a lot of the guys have been involved with the meeting at Coventry so they won`t probably be back at their desks until Monday morning.
