    Hi renna

I take it we are talking about a single oven?

As for brands you could go with Hotpoint, belling, Gorenje, Beko, Ignis, Indesit, New World and Zanussi, all of those would be okay.

Not so keen on Candy and Hoover but that`s just me 😉

    Hi TeeMyob

You could try emailing user markmel64 from this thread or spanishwhite from this thread. I don`t think either are near Alicante but they may be able to point you in the right direction.

    Hi

Select fabric type to be washed from the list ie prog no.2 is for whites at 90 degrees, turn programme selector dial on far right to corresponding number. The knob third from right will allow you to reduce the wash temperature from 90 down to 30 degrees. All you need to then do is depress the on off button.

The other rectangular buttons from the left when pushed in will

1 Reduce the spin speed to 500.

2 Half load wash option and tumble dryer activation.

    3 No spin option.

The large knob second from right is the tumble dryer run time from 0 -140 minutes. For the dryer to work you need to have the half load button pressed in. You can only dry half the normal size wash load.

    Hi Renna

I would say that the price is a little steep but it does depend on what they are supplying. If you add on the VAT the price of the oven comes out at £300 odd pound. For that sort of money you should get a pretty good machine, I would ask the agent to give you the make and model number so you can look it up to see if it`s suitable, then let us know on here to see if we can advise further.

Working out the maths that makes the installation about £100. I would ask the agent for a breakdown of quotation by email so you can digest it further 😉 After all at the end of the day it`s your money they are spending and you have to be sure they are using it wisely.

    Hi

WD002 probably is the model number and from your descripton of the controls the WD part probably means it`s a washer dryer.

I can`t find an online manual for it so if you are able to post up a picture of the fascia we should be able to help you.

Re: Gorenje retro fridge, Siemens DW, Miele WM & tumble

    Hi Mel

I would rather compromise on the colour and go for what is arguably the best brand when it comes to build and reliability. Take a lok at the Liebherr range. German manufacturer who have been around for a long time producing refrigeration in the UK.

If black is a must then the Bosch would be a great choice. The Gorenje is limited by the amount of freezer space compared to the Bosch.

We have sold quite a few of the Retro machines over the last ten years with no trouble at all, spares if ever needed are readily available and at a reasonable cost.

Yes you can purchase an integrated dishwasher and a cheap B&Q door no problem there. Just be aware that there are two different sorts ie semi integrated where you see the control panel or fully integrated where the controls are along the top edge. Bosch and Siemens are part of the same group of companies Siemens are a higher spec and some will have a five year warranty.

The Miele applainces are without doubt very well designed eco friendly hard wearing appliances which come with the some of the best warranties around. The only thing for us independant dealers is the extremely high price of spares and the lack of tech info we can lay our hands on in order to offer a repair service, unless you are an authorised service agent.

Bramptonmel wrote: We are a family of 6 with lots of extended family and friends always around so we are pretty hard on kitchen appliances.

There is another option you could consider which goes against the norm. ISE washing machines have been desingned by engineers on this site with the customer in mind ie low cost spares and local service not to mention the full ten year guarantees on the ISE10 washing machine and the matching ISE10condenser dryer.

They come in under your £1700 figure as well.

    Hi Faidy

Most well branded manufacturers produce built in double ovens. Bosch and Neff are probably among the best in their price range. You can view the Bosch range here and the Neff range here.

There a quite a few good articles on ovens and appliances in general here in our appliance buying help and advice section.

An independant electrical retailer will be able to advise on what would be the best appliance for you, be able to install, remove the old oven and run through the functions with you.

You may be able to purchase cheaper online however there is very little or no aftercare if you have a query or problem. You will also need to arrange your own installation and removal of the old one.

    Re: Hotpoint Mistral: Won’t Freeze

Not backwards as such it`s well documented on this site and other forums that frost free has it`s own reliability issues compared to a static freezer. Couple that to the price of a frost free under counter appliance your Bosch would be in the region of £400 which is just to expensive on what would then be a low volume seller.

The only manufacturers I am aware of which produce under counter freezers are Hotpoint and Zanussi.
