Hi Tim
That`s a little on the cheap side isn`t it ? After all it is an exclusive machine with a two year warranty and local backed service.
We use DAD at Gloucester who have good monthly offers on washers. This month among other machines they have the Whirlpool AWOD4505 @£149, it`s a good little workhorse 5kg load with 1200 spin. We sell loads to the property lets and to those who can`t afford the bigger ticket prices @ £274 delivered an installed.

Hi
Most of the American fridge freezers are between 890mm and 905mm so you should have no problem with the width issue.
As far as brands are concerned unless you purchase a GE machine circa £1500 and up, whatever else you purchase someone will have had an issue with it of some sorts. There are plenty of stories within this forum covering a multitude of brands of peoples woes.
I still like the Admiral range of products for what it is worth 😉 as they are “American” as opposed to the “Korean clones” currently being sold at silly prices.

I can probably spend up to a thousand (maybe more at a push). What are my options? Is there any other style that would fill a gap that size? Thanks in advance.
Hi
What size of gap please ?
Might well be worth readingOur buying guide on American fridge freezers.
Then perhaps this thread and for good measure this thread they will give you a good insight into this sector of the market 😉

ModeratorRe: Which gas cooker to choose?
Hi Grandma
We saw one of these zanussi cookers yesterday, seems a good well made solid machine and the slope control panel was easier to use rather than bending to adjust. It could be worth a look to see if it`s right for you.

Quite true madrat, but the build is far better than the Indesit`s and the controls do seem to run a lot smoother. Could well be worth you paying a visit to one of the sheds to see what I mean 😉Don

Funnily enough the advice on the TV front was avoid Samsung at all cost… 😆
Good choice  I like them for the superior sound generator they have and the EPG is the best I`ve come across.Don

Hi raceboy
The “ZigZag” design is a Maytag appliance.
Good luck with the TV purchase, the market is just a fraught with danger as the refrigeration sector 😉
