Re: Legal advice needed… Speed restriction on transit van

thank heavens for the sanity of Stratford Girl on here or we would all be going mad. The phrase car derived van is outdated and ambiguous, its the max laden weight that counts and most of our vans are designed to fit inside this category and don’t necessary look like panelled in estate cars.
Never mind this top speed restriction though, we are all far more likely to be fined for doing 35 in a 30 and unless you drive a Twizzy cargo then nothing than common sense by the driver will prevent it.

Just look at Bosch or Hotpoint parts.

They have been doing this since time began, haven’t they?

    Re: small claims court case

I would do it just out of principle. Once the official court form drops through their letterbox they will probably pay up + they need to pay your costs as well. If not more than likely they will not attend and you will win anyway…whether you get your money from them is another matter but at least you will have messed up their credit rating (assuming it isn’t already). I took a Viscount (not rhyming slang!) to court just out of principle for £49.00.

Spoken to Maytag customer care for domestic machines and they say neither models are on their system.

They look like ASKO machines to me but UK Whitegoods doesnt list them.

Anyone able to help on this please
    Thanks,
    Mike

They are Asko’s, you need the “WM” model number from the rating plate (look high above the door on the inner front panel to find it, on the washer at least) Tell us what you need, may have them or at least can get you the Asko part number.

Without a model number no one is going to help on this one. Earlier ones had a seprate water meter (impellor jug) while later ones are interagted into the air break but the reed on its own can be changed.

I love the original Cohen Brothers film as is one of my favourites. Would prefer to keep that version in my mind.

Actually not the same story….. and the Cohen bros have Approved it. That Martin Freeman is in it is a bonus.

don’t worry Ken, just watching the first minute of this episode will not give anything away.

lee8 wrote:It looks a handy piece of kit, but a bit late, most US fridges came with wheels and move very easily, the old range cookers where built very heavy and sat close to the floor, so this would be perfect, but those cookers rarely broke down also not that many out there to justify paying for this kit. Most ranges now are much higher off the ground with poor quality plastic legs and are not difficult to move.

If you do struggle to move stuff and want to pay that money, go ahead, personally I don’t think many people would buy them, it reminds me of the Kirby Vacs, good cleaners, but over priced, not really providing a noticeable performance vs price difference and sold by dodgy car style dealers.

Rollers are fine on a perfect floor but how many perfect floors do we find under appliances? Most floor damage is not done by the appliance but the crap that has ended up underneath it over the years (broken glass especially) if this lifts the appliance then that hopefully will be left behind.

only Indesite could make something so simple become so complicated. Both of these are £60 each to boot.

cc is 035168 screwed drum but dont have s/n.. the “deep” and “shallow” are the terms used in partfinder. I know what you mean about the longer dispenser but as this is listed as a conversion to a separate valve type then I would not think that applies.

some big bullet then, took 6 years to bite through! When you say slide under the appliance….do you mean under the feet or just anywhere?
