Re: Smeg Range A1.1 Cut out

you should have been sent 818731477 and yes it is a 2 wire basic cut out nothing like the original. The old was a 2 pole cut out, L and N, the mod is to join the lives together and fit the new single pole cut out just to the neutral wires. I have the service bulletin for it if you want to see it but its just a basic line diagram.

£2 to “kiss and go” drop off at Stansted airport now. I remember not that long ago I would park my van right outside, use the toilets, get a coffee and newspaper and no one said a thing.

Shirley though. if 6 is the max setting on the old knob must = 4 on the new knob position wise then doesn’t really explain having to turn it back to 4 to get full power.. If the knob was full on it doesn’t matter whether its marked 4 6 or 11, its still going to be at full power.

yes remove a few screws around the edge of the door and you can open it just enough to access the roller catch. Often find, even with gen parts the holes for the screws never seem to line up on these and a small round file is needed. Assuming you are talking about a British rangemaster, Turkey ones may be different.

    Shows on my list…. 😕

and what is this magic “list” you are looking at then Steve? Believe me, no diverter valve on that model.

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher Aquastop Valve

I think the only reason they say to point downward is that if the inner hose leaks (highly unlikely as we all know) the water will run down the outer hose into the base of the dishwasher activating the aquastop float. That is the whole reasoning behind these waste of time devices. have they a water softner in the house? odds on that’s the fault if so.

is it taking in water on dry cycle? or customer switching it off before finish maybe? Also had intermittent fan start up on these, will work fine when your testing it but fails to start every now and then… difficult to prove.

wondering how long till we are charged for the convenience paperless bills? Once the utilities have priced everyone off paper bills they are sure going to be looking at other ways of stealing money from us.
