Martin wrote:Just curious… But how do you go about racking out a leased van? Or do you lease the biggest one possible and then chuck all your van stock on the floor?
Leasing company supply it as ply lined (it saves them having the van returned with loads of dents in the panels) hence it is easy to rack out.

the main issue with contract hire is annual mileage. You have to predict your annual mileage and the payments are based on that. Over 3 terms (ie 9years!) I have never been able to accurately predict this and have gone either over mileage (and billed for it at the end of term) or have had a final few months being very choosy how far I go. Each time I have upped the annual mileage by the amount I got it wrong previously but have still got caught out. This current contract I reckon will be about right.
Its difficult to predict.
As for servicing, look first at the service intervals of the van you are buying. These are now far longer so in a 3 year contract term that may only be one major service and your warranty will cover breakdowns so it generally does not make sense to take it.eastlmark
ModeratorRe: miele dryer t8302 wont heat??
if its got 3 rectangular relays then its the old style board, can be repaired but have to butcher the old relays off due to double sided soldering. newer- replacement board has 4 square white relays and is far more reliable. Getting on for £100 IIRC. Its the contact that go so no easy test other than check for voltage at the board about 90 secs after the programme starts. You may even hear the relays click which is a sure sign. (use the timed warm air drying setting to be sure)

ModeratorRe: Bosch oven HBB-AP59_8
you need to establish if it is a sealed type oven or a vented oven. If sealed it is definitely related to what they are cooking as there is nowhere for the steam to go, especially when cooking stuff straight from the freezer. If its a vented oven then check the vent is clear. Almost certainly not a fault with the oven. Get it all the time with Smeg ovens and that is the official line. (All smeg ovens are sealed)

ModeratorRe: carbon brush colour code
I know what you mean Tom, you are talking about the painted dot or stripe rather than the colour of the housing, right? Probably some truth in what you have said about compound and hardness maybe related to motor rpm? but I don’t think worth worrying over, if the angle is correct then just fit them.

never heard of them where are these made ?The WM56 is a rebadged some brand or other (Vestel, Arclik maybe?) so just a cheapo machine with an FHP motor. New motor listed on other parts web sites by the way.
Absolute rubbish Martin, the WM56 was a proper, quality Asko Swedish made machine. AKA W6561 (the last Akso sold in the UK with their name on it- £650 in 2002 IIRC) and AFAIK there is no connection betweeen Asko and Nyborg. (again!) -
