    Re: 1st 4 Service

I had a few Argos cooker jobs from them but nothing at all now as I am not doing the Hotpoint dryer mods.
Argos cooker repairs now come via Minerva Service.
It is pretty low grade stuff but it sells well and it fails which is good for business 😀

You are only earning wages even at £40 a call unless you are doing first time fix.
£15-20 must work out at less than minimum wage after expenses!

Value for money wise I would also side with Beko.
I installed a fully integrated for a customer this week that only cost him £209 from Boots online inc. delivery.
The parts alone to repair his Siemens D/W would have cost more than that!

Lamona stuff has a two year warranty so if you are getting nowhere you could kick it back to the manufacturer’s agent.

They are still showing an Asko dryer in the article which is not helpful.

I am on my second CK Magma toolcase and can highly recommend.
I like the shoulder strap which helps me to pick it up without bending my back.
    And only £35.

They are the same accross the whole model range.
It comes out via the back after removing the water valve and drip tray

If you are happy with the quality of your tap water you can bypass the filter by taking the filter tube out and connecting directly into the water valve inlet.

Re: ISE 1606W not heating the water

Just to throw a little confusion into the diagnosis I have found two of these one of which is my own where the heater had failed and the machines did not error out but completed the wash without heating.
Amazing really how well they wash in cold water but after a while start to smell a bit.

When you have the Whirlpool original part number just Google search it and you can find most stuff in UK.
Don’t order motors or timers from US as they won’t work.

The wiring diagram will be tucked in behind the fascia panel.

Re: How much credit to extend to work providers?

I only work for one high end letting agent now and payment comes on the day that rent is collected and the property owner gets the balance.
Sometimes payment is within a week but never over 30 days.
I have another private landlord with 60 plus properties and he is on 7 day terms.
    Late payers have been dropped.
Some of these agents however are scumbags and need to be treated accordingly.

Another name to add to the Connect list of companies is Wow Discounts Ltd.
I just got a Whirlpool door gasket 481246068633 for £18.23 with free tracked delivery.
Espares is £50.08. Connect trade was £23.00.
    Tracking text said from 4ourhouse.
Return address on the package was Medco House etc.
    All the same company.
No free pen though so I am going to complain!
