    in the door

you also have to make sure it has not gone bang for any other reason. if another component has failed then if you put a new one in that will fail as well. From what Martin says its probably unlikely but you cant rule it out till you have checked

if you buy a new one you will get a 2 year warranty and Neff and bosh are the same units so whichever is cheaper

    How?

you are looking for an earth fault as I assume its blowing the RCD and not the MCB and the main board is well insulated in a plastic box.

the most common cause of no spin is out of balance loads.

have you tried a fresh load to see if it would spin that ?

does not sound good with the burn smell

    but

when the pump impellor runs all the time the first check is to make sure the base of the machine has not flooded. the machine is fitted with a float in the base that activates the pump in the event of a leak

as I say its unlikely as I suspect the timer may have blown as normally all the lights come on but the pump runs and the prog wont start

    replace only cannot be repaired

if you access and look at it ( do not remove wires ) you should be able to see faulty contact and confirm diagnosis

the clock is probably obsolete but it should be possible to isolate the clock so the oven will work without it by joining the correct wires inside the cooker

    Faulty socket ?
    mains suppressor?

at a 90 min wash would expect it to be heating at this point therefore its pulling power and things get warm and more likely to have an earth fault

oh i see what you mean now

part unlocks by turning anti clockwise so i use 3 screwdrivers

place 2 through 2 opposite hole ( not too deep. then holding the ends of the drivers with one hand use the third one as a lever to turn the unit to unlock it. dont just force it but gently apply pressure on and off till it gives

its a bit of a juggling act but had done it a few times. have attached a graphic to give you the idea but its upside down so you just use it as a guide

thanks to qualtex for the pic

    hope it helps

i would guess it comes out towards you BUT

the hole marked will lock it in with a lump of plastic sticking up. there also might be another one underneath

well it sound like there is no power into the unit. you need to check the mains cable into the cooker first
