Moderatoreuro wrote:Thanks for all your replys, have been round them all the the best price is still the one am with at the moment. Dave you were saying about when you changed vans, i changed mine about 18 months ago and i got a refund from them even though the one it was one was 3 and a half years old and moved to a new one which i thought was strange. I was reading its supposedly down to parts etc costing more for repairs, never had a claim except for a chipped windowscreen and a clean driving licence but that appears to make no difference to insurance nowadays.
well to be a bit fair
old van 07 plate 75Hp newer van 16 plate 120Hp
so that prob made them think but £400 from late oct to feb as an extra on the poilicy means i paid About £2000 last year and renewal was £1200Dave

Moderatorali_g12 wrote:Ours doubled at renewal lest month from around £1k per van to over £2k. Same vans, same drivers, one extra year of ncb and one extra year of depreciation. Didn’t even get a renewal quote, there was just a huge chunk of money missing from the bank account. Needless to say I am looking elsewhere.
thats why i never do auto renewal. make a point of saying no to it

washer dryers can be a bit of a headache both for users and engineers
yes your going to get long use times and you cant start the next load till its finished. You cant wash and dry full loads as you need more room in the drum to dry
add in heat pump technology and your in for some expense just to buy it

Moderatorgen part no is 50293743006
comes up as a silly price but almost any high voltage microwave diode will be fine
you can get them on Ebay for about £5
assume you realise your dealing with 5000v DC and capacitors so you can get lethal shock even when off if you dont take precautions

Moderatorsome pump and drain systems have small pipes off the pumps or drain pipes to allow air to escape and stop air locks. if these pipes block it stops it draining

They now charge a shocking 18{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} commission on every job!!
There are so many good estate agents I work for who pay me by return I’m happy to loose their work.
agree it may work for some trades but there are a lot less people doing our job so we can afford to say no and wait for them to come to their senses
