ask emw if they get problems with top module and get them to test as a pair

had a few machines where top panel was the fault

    Re: Comenda Dw leak

most industrial washers have no seals but are made in such a way as to trap water and let it run down the door

check drain to make sure water is not too high
rinse aid over dosing causes foaming and leaks
bottom of door lets and right hand side look for blockages grease build up or the like that might stop water flowing into tank
check paddles for blockages if jets are blocked the remaining jets are more powerful

for parts and info email parts@comenda.eu

this is in italy and ask for a parts supplier where you are.

In UK it is Dawson 01226 350450

    Re: bearing removal

my way of dealing with this problem goes back years

1 clean clean in front of old bearing ring any rust or corrosion will make it harder to remove. wd40 around ring and where it is about to slide

2 buy a second front bearing open bearing and break cage. take bearing to bits so you left with 2 rings and a pile v of ball bearings

3 with drum on its side place 5 of these balls in the remains of the drum bearing with grease to stop them slipping

4 take the inner ring of the diamantled bearing, place it on top of the balls you put in and then with a small screwdriver push the balls around the ring equally so it all stays in place

5 keeping an eye that the bearings dont move turn drum so old bearing can be knocked out downwards being careful bearings dont move and drum is not damaged

find a steel bar and knock out bearing (wear eye protection)

sounds a bit long winded but has got me out of a few scrapes and you can keep bearing parts to do same job again in future

    Re: whirlpool cold inlet valve

its normally the coils that fails on valves

you need a multimeter on ohm scale and you should get between 3 to 5000 ohms

if you check the hot the cold should give a similar reading

(test with plug out no power on machine)

if you tap stats on the floor they can be reset

must be an airflow prob check that the exhaust air is not getting recirculated or dryer is not in very hot room ie boiler room

exhaust stat / cabinet stat ?

    causing drum to overheat

    just a thought

had a similar prob on a tricity cooker years ago were the stat was generating heat when current was passed through it so trips out
    worth checking

you could short out stat wires
turn on cooker and use a multimeter to see if stat trips
if it doesn’t you have found it
