Moderatora bit odd as i would expect a relay failure not to go away
if it was me i would do an insulation test on the element when hot
sometimes if the element is leaking to earth it can upset electronic controls on some machines

Moderatorto be sure you need to turn on and cancell the programme. it will then run a pump out sequence
you can then turn off and set another programme and see what happens

Moderatorcould be the correct part as its described here
https://www.appliancespares.nz/products/miele-dishwasher-heater-relay-pcb-board-9053390
with the gen part no
it will or should be cheaper to direct from Miele
you can test it and if one of the relays are stuck you may be able to source and repalce it a lot cheaper
cant confirm its the right one for you machine as i cant see it on Miele diagrams

Moderatorthere is a pressure switch mounted on the side of the sump

Moderatorneed the complete model and commercial code number off the machine label to look it up
no brushes should not go in that time but they may stick. but thats assuming it has brushes as some dont

Moderatoryou can disconnect from timer end and do a continuity test on each wire
Dave
electrofix
Moderatorthe element has 3 wires and you should get readings across any 2
Dave

Moderatornice job
thought i would add your pic so people can seeDave

Moderatorchecked the wiring and the only stats are on the element
early machines had one over the door but not on yours
get a multi meter and check the stats on the element assembly
and check heater for continuity, it may be new but even new parts can be faulty
Dave

Moderatorhave you tried wet clothes in it as some machines wont heat unless they sense dampness
or try a timed programme, some of those dont need to use the sensors

Moderatorthink i would check the board for short circuit relays

ModeratorIts got to be the stat, try not to complicate things
try
watch temp and wait till it starts to climb. then give the stat a jolt with the handle of a screwdriver or something. chances are it will come back on and get cold again. if yes change statDave

Moderatorif you want to prove it , take motor off. add a drop of light oil ( not wd 40 as it stinks ) and then see if noise is there from cold. if no order a new motor as the oils wont last

Moderatorall the flashing light means is I have a fault, problem is we dont know what
if it was a water inlet problem it would not flash so that rules that out
the timer unit uses pump current to determine if there is water in there. Have you tried mopping out the water and see if it fills
