make sure the door is closing. had a few of them where the wooden door catches the frame so the fridge door does not quite close and seal

shorted triac on the board ?
you can check this by seeing if the door locks before the start button is presssed

ok disconnect the heater and see if it will start and run programme. I know it wont heat but it just to find out if it will run for longer

does sound like a board fault
you could check the board for blown capacitors as a lot of these units are only on standby when off
if you leave it plugged in does it turn on after leaving it 10 mins or so ?

when you say it did not turn on what exaclty happened ?
does sound like you had it in a test programme , did it show an error code that was current ie what it thought was wrong now

short answer is you cant
there are all sorts of videos on utube even one guy using a chop saw, using his foot to steady it and wearing sandals
as a professional if it has a sealed drum then it has to be fitted as one unit

would need model etc to see what your talking about
but take it out and give things a good clean
