Moderatoras a quick tip
to hold the cap in place when you only have one hand use string looped over the top of the cap which holds it in place while you put the nut and washer onDave

Moderatorok that makes more sense
full model no is LTH37700
overheating problems are often the front stat
the dryness is set by a conductivity sensor which consists of 2 brushes running on the drum to 2 electrodes that should be electrically isolated
check brushes and isolation

Moderatornever even knew that firm existed and am only 5 miles away lol
later belts are elastic so dont need adjusting, these early belts do not stretch so the motor hinges on 2 bolts while the third is in sliding slot
loosen the bolts and slide motor to closest point to drum, then put the belt on, pull motor out to tention belt ( no too tight) and re tighten bolts

Moderatoryou would have to ask the shop directly
but a lot of suppliers will not give a warranty unless it is fitted by a manufacturers approved engineer. I have the same problem as any part i fit i have to guarentee and no recourse to the supplieryou will have rights under the sale of goods act to say it must be in good condtion and fit for purpose etc
have you looked at the old switch to make sure its the fault ?

Moderatorshort answer is with great difficulty
you have to take the complete front off the dryer and the front seal unit and you can just about struggle a bit to get at it by wedging the drum up to create maximum room. you can still only get one hand it which makes getting the nut off and back real fun
to get clear access you have to remove the drum

Moderatorthink the pump cover is under or just behind the motor
Dave
electrofix
Moderatormy next job would be to check the motor windings for continuity
if ok
check pcb relays for bad solder joints
