    Re: Salesmanship

    hi Neptune,

we tend to sell to letting agents and landlords who don’t really care to much about the selling side, its more about the numbers to them,

to be honest i like it that way, as i don’t seem to have much patience with joe public nowadays.. and im glad i don’t have to rely on selling for a living..

that said when i worked for scot – gas i was quite good at selling customer things that they didn’t need. also done a project for engineer development on this subject, so i know where you are coming from with regards to the tips you mentioned.

do you do a lot of selling..

isnt it amazing how many people hand the cq over to you after they ask how much , and you jokingly say…

oh just leave it blank and i,ll fill it in…

im completely staggered at the amount of people who start to hand over the cq, and then how quickly they come to their senses when i say i was only joking.

    Re: Oven Cleaner

dont know how pc this method is or if it breaks health and safety,

we used to recon cookers..and used this method , i made the cookers spotless…

1st mix a bucket of wall paper paste,
2nd add 2 small bottles of caustic soda.. cation wear gloves eye protectors etc… use big stick to mix ..
3rd apply sticky mix on to cooker…wall paper paste helps caustic stick to panels etc..
    4th leave over night.
5th blast clean with power washer..

    job done..

we used to do 5-10 at a time and this was the only method that worked..

whats he going to do anyway
re call the whole yellow pages, and remove any indesit logos of the adds..
    dont think so…

also check their add, if its like the one they put in our area..

ask him when they changed their name to AAAAAAAAINDESIT REPAIRS..
and if this is their name why dont they highlight it as their main heading

    Re: 60Hz

    I HAD THIS BEFORE,

i think ive got this the right way…
    mainland is 50 hz
boats produce 60hz , so motor/pump dont run prop..

no cure for this, unless you fit a motor that can run@ 60 hz

    Re: WHIRLPOOL ADG 957

most probs ive had with these is

1st t.mister @ sump, mostly give probs on heat…ie m/c runs for about 20 mins then aborts prog… (doesnt fit with your prob)

2nd pressure sensor @ sump, gets stuck with grease etc… half turn takes it out, give it a good clean @ sink…most times ive had to replace this part??

your the kind of engineer that give this trade a bad name..

a poor customer who obviously couldn’t sleep thinking about his dryer..

any decent engineer would have got up and went straight round…..

    lol…..

now if it had been that luvly slim blonde that called you ??????

Re: Do you use customers toilet?

my mate is pretty guilty about doing craps in customers toilets,
one time it was particularly smelly, so as he flushed the toilet he grabbed the air freshener and began to give it a good spray at the same he was pulling his trousers..
picture this , he had one hand in the air spaying for all he was worth whilst toilet was flushing to hide the spay can noise, other hand trying to pull trousers up… when he finally lifted his head it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t airfreshner he was spraying, it was jiff mouse and now it was all over the place… needless to say it took a little bit of time to clean up..

this is the same guy who gave a customer the dry boke after farting..
he blamed the stale water in the w/m..
