Vestel build the Sovereign washers.
Chris.
i know that i just meant the sovereigns overe here appeared to be the closest match to that model, based on appearance.
off topic i knwo, but has anyone else been out to lots of 7kg sovereigns that would regularly throw their belts off? the coop around here sold a fair few and once they went bust we got a handful of service calls to them nothing appeared too wrong though?

ParticipantRe: Price matching
oooh what was it on, was it one of their “price reaffirming” appliances where they hike it up for 2 weeks before going back on sale???

ParticipantRe: hotpoint
i had to drill thru and use long bolts to hold the bottom counterweight onto a 18 month old wf541. initially thought machine was a write off as it had ripped the lugs off all three mounts, cos sealed tub. thank god for araldite and threaded rods 😀
we were unsure at first, but as it was a mates machine we gave it a shot, as they were happy to get a new one if it didnt work, and its still going strong now – 2 years on
ive since done it to another 2x 541s with same problems although never had a h/p with a loose top c/b tho always been the lower ones!!!

ParticipantRe: dogs
i have goldfish and a semi-adopted cat. to own a dog, as you say, is a big commitment, something i cannot offer any pet that cant look after itself for 10-14 hours at any one time. but i know many close friends who have dogs, and know completely the level of commitment needed to ensure a happy dog, as one of my colleagues owns several.
i wont say any more after this as i feel the topic is going way, way off topic, but to say an aggressive dog is just like its owner is just too assumptive!!!
i cant put it any other way, but a dog does not change its behaviour overnight cos it has a new owner, as im sure ur aware. say your dog was really aggressive to anyone other than you when you first got him, if everyone had the same opinion as you have, how do you think they would interpret you? they would instantly think you were a stoner and not gonna pay your bill let alone know what a washing machine was, before you even opened yuor mouth !!!
just be more openminded with people untill you KNOW otherwise!

ParticipantRe: Which Report Recommends Beko!
do a lot of their refrigeration as a budget brand.
solid reliable and better thought out than the major brands (hp zanussi etc) also equivalent build quality with the added bonus of low ambient operational temps. they also seem to be the only brand who still produce the out-sized f/f that people have “only a certain amount of room for” and we had one for 12 years before we needed a taller wider fridge at home
i do avoid stocking their frost free models tho as they seem to be a completely different kettle of fish in the reliability stakes
dishwashers also seem good quality for the price, miles ahead of similar budget machines from haier, indesit, whirlpool and candy, and do a decent job of cleaning too.
our shops main brands are amica/statesman/beko for budget, bosch washing/hotpoint refrigeration for midrange, and siemens/liebherr for premium
best thing about beko is their repair viability compared to their main competion based on spares prices 🙂
dont like their dryers and washers are “value for money” but i think the amicas wash better…

ParticipantRe: dogs
that may be but you are still assuming things!
i can only speak for myself (on shared access with this forum-id) but ive gotta be honest with you, even my grandad with his outdated attitudes is less of a stereotypist than you come across!
i mean i dont smoke, drink occasionally, and dont touch drugs, but i would be horribly offended by your comments if i did. in fact personally i am currently quite offended by how your coming across on not only this but other threads too. i think many of us know people who have certain addictions and know that although they might inhabit a somewhat warped shape of reality, its more down to character than habit as to whether they are a reliable customer or not. one person i see regulary is a full on stoner, but will always pay his bills, on the door step in cash. stoned or otherwise he is as nice as pie. yes he also has a dog, and its big (not a dog expert but its sort of a pitbull cross type) yes maybe he chose that breed for show, but its has so far been a pussycat.
what im trying to say is you need to widen your eyes and see people for who they are, not who you percieve them as, you may question me for being hypocritical, saying this and not giving you a chance but all i can go on is how you come across in your posts, and i want to try and give you a few helpful pointers. you also have to ask yourself how many recreational drug users are actually engineers on here? you just cant know, and so
im happy to give you the benefit of the doubt and think you suffer the same problem as me, by occasionally being unable to communicate yourself in the way you intend to, but instead coming across on completely the opposite wavelegth as the majority of the rest, but really please, you do need to drop the judgemental side of your posts!as for the owners being responsible for their dogs, yes in most cases they are, but you wouldnt want to the be teh one person who has just taken charge of a rescue dog, and being thought of as a rubbish owner by someone else because they didnt know hte dogs history, would you?

ParticipantRe: Bosch WF02467 filling fault
get asked fairly regularly for new solenoids for the later boschs from the diy customers. sold one about 3 months ago to a chap doing his daughters one, with similar problem and he hasnt come back for a refund cos it didnt work – but that might be because he has some pride and recognises shops arent a “try before you buy service” unlike other customers lol. might be worth swappign one over just to see

ParticipantRe: Baumatic BFW1201W
might be worth checkign that model no. might be a bfw1210w
the 1210s are the amica lookalikes. not worked on one so cant say if they are or share the electronics at all but this is the info on here relating to e22 for amicas. i have been out to a handful of amicas that did e22 for unbalanced loads, and in one occasion the 3rd time it did it it was actually the pcb. but this was cos the solenoid had a constant slow leak and dripped on the drum and then onto the motor. i note the motors seem to be pretty exposed (no cellophane covers like on bosch/hp)
“E22 Motor triac shorted – there is a signal from the rate generator even
though no power is supplied to the motorThe E22 error code is displayed and the wash programme is terminated.
Faulty electronic circuits (the error may occasionally be caused by a heavily unbalanced load such as a blanket or dressing gown) “from here:
