Alot of the workers now, are so used to the abuse, they just soak it up, then carry on trying to sell you something; or fire a load of abuse back 😡
I’ve got a few solutions…
My favourite (coz it’s easiest) is just put the phone on speaker, put the handset down, and go do some work. Sometime they waffle on for a few minutes before ‘Hello? Hello, Sir? Hello? Kerdunk!’
Another option is abuse 😈 but it’s not advised. If your gonna do it, you’ve gotta do something really nasty and original!
The easiest it just, ‘No thank you, I’m very busy/not interested, good bye.’
Or I have Martin’s quote pinned on the notice board next to the phone…

Tis the easiest way! Where the seal goes onto the heater duct is far to fiddley for me and my hooves!
And if it’s the wash-pump/jetsystem model, I dissconnect the hose from the pump and feed it through.

At least I’ve got a good excuse for a fire.
It’s softwood (don’t know the type) that’s at least 30 years old.
I thought it might have been rot at first but a piece of the wood I checked is peppered with 1mm holes, and when I picked it up, half of the board poured out in dust form 🙁

I can picture the TV ad…
The washer is lurking the shadows. Lightening cracks across the purple sky. A Samoian choir belts out some scary Latin number (LOTR/Omen style). Then that guy that voice-overs the cinema trailers slanders all the major manufactuers. Then the ISE comes out of the shadows, or rises from the ashes, the choir cresendos, and voice-over guys says…
“The ISE age is here!”

Agreed! You wanna spend the rest of your days just taking coins out of pumps. I find a bearing job brings job satisfaction with it.
And if it wasn’t for those peskie kids, errr, pegs, I could do those WMA’s in way under 2 hours.
