    Hello

I have to agree with nomad on this one (damn I hate that), sounds like you have a problem with the water points motor on the heater box, seeings as you have changed it already then module should be the answer

    Hello

If this is the model with the pump situated under the belts (sorry im no good at remembering model numbers) then you need to remove motor connections, then remove the big plastic holder that clips around the motor. Next remove the belt tensioner spring. Then carefully ease of the water pipe from the top of the pump (normally stuck on quite tight). Remove the pump and float connections and the retaining screw situated next to them. With a bit of jiggery-pokery the pump cover should now slide out, leaving the pump exposed for removal. Its quite easy once you’ve done it once.

I am assuming it is wired to the standard 3 wire, 230 volt uk supply. If it is then you would also need links to go in the live side also. Live to 1, then links from 1-2 and 2-3 (neutral into 4, then link from 4 to 5). As far as I know, without the links you will not get power to all rings.

POWER OFF BEFORE PLAYING WITH THE SUPPLY 😀

    Hello Keybored

Chances are it will be the water ways in the upper drawer blocked (cant easilly get to them to clean them), although you could be right about the solonoid. Easy way to check is to put appliance on wash with the prewash setting, if the water comes into the pre-wash section of the drawer then the solonoid is fine.
To clean the upper dispenser tray, try forcing a long cable tie up the four little holes in the middle, push it all the way up to the back.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Stella

99 time out of 100 It will be the ring element that is situated around the fan.

Remember to turn power off before checking!!

Tipped it over and she said he only took the side off, fitted wash pump from the side 😯 don’t think so.

If it was a B/S/h dishwasher then you can easily change the wash pump from the side.

Where is it? Get alot of these in winter, they are not supposed to be in garages, sheds etc as freezer is cycled by the fridge thermostat. If it doesnt get cold enough for the fridge to kick in, then the freezer will defrost

Let it run for 10 minutes, these valves like to work for a few minutes then stop. If you do need to get to the condenser at the bottom, take the front off, then lie it on its RHS, gives you a touch more room to play with.
There is also something else that can cause this problem, never come across it myself so not 100 percent sure on this, but I think it is if the pipe from the little rectangular plastic chamber (where the water feeds from the valve) to the condenser chamber is too long. Like I said, Im not too sure about this, so hopefully someone else can clarify it.

How long do you have them on for? Some people us them to light the kitchen 24/7? They are fed from a 12v transfomer, so that could be faulty, but that is just a thought, not someting I have personally come across

    Hello Stompa

Yes this can happen, thermostats like almost everything else can develop a fault. Depending on the symptons you are getting, it could also be other factors. What makes you think it is overheating?

    Re: Tips, Tricks & Shortcuts

With regards to the original post and the three legged dishwashers……

You can change the wash motor as follow……

Remove the RHS and LHS panels, remove the silver kickplate at the bottom of the door (if you want you only need to remove the the LHS screw and pull the kickplate out a touch to access the screw behind). Now remove the screw behind the kickplate that screws into the bottom of the door hinge. Then to the back of the machine and remove the screw that hold the back of the wash tank onto the base (wash motor side of wash tank). After all these screws have been removed if you put your knee on the base of the appliance (LHS next to the wash motor) and grip the wash tank with both hands, you can prise the appliance apart (like a clam) and use the bottom of the door hinge, rested on the top of the base to keep held open. Wash motor can now be easily removed and refitted. There is no need to touch anything on the water intake side of the appliance and using this method, after a few goes, it is possible to change the motor in 25 minutes on a freestanding appliance.
This also works for slimline versions, although it has to be said that they are alot harder to ‘clam’ open and care needs to be taken not to catch your knee on the heater box.
It is also possible to change the heater in the same way, although I found it to much of a squeeze, so I flip the appliance on its ‘head’, but thats for another day.

    Hi Graham.

Im sure you probably know this but its worth mentioning. Does it stop when the door filter is removed? If they have been using bounce sheets (or similar) it leaves an invisible film over the fine mesh of the filter and seriously restricts airflow.
Not trying to teach my gran to suck eggs or anything, just a thought.
