    question for ya?

i presume you put the front supports on because it had the front wheels on?

and , if it was, you did remember to take the wheels off, didnt you?

erm, no its a knob and a bezel

if its not one of those, its the thermostat thats faulty, the latter being more probable

    pcb?

id be checking the timer wires first, maybe youve pulled one off when you took the drum out?

im sure the pcb is pureley a stop and start thing, and wouldnt normally cause that pproblem, its usually some sort of timer issue tbf

sorry to say this, but 1&4 flashing is an eprom/setup error

that means the software on the main pcb is faulty

your probably going to need a new board, and a new eprom, unless hotpoint try to reprogramme the eprom thats in there

regardless of the way its done, it would certainly work out cheaper to pay the £99 hotpoint labour charge, and have the parts fitted under your 5 yr parts cover ( that is if its under five years old)

sorry, but thats the harsh reality of hotpoint machines!!

    good luck

Maybe the Range should now be “range cooker”, in stainless of course. Positioned next to the fridge.

nah, it was bruce hornsby and the range

    good gag though

    its a good point

older machines just tend to be better, before the days of plastic tubs and over complex electronics

simple, yet effective, designed to last
