Participantunusual for nothing to work, has to be said
are u sure its not just unplugged/switched off/fuse gone?
worth checking before u’ll need a spark generator, not an overly expensive repair, but youll need a corgi registered fitter to fix it for you
hope this helps

Participantall gas ovens have some sort of flame supervision device, be that a ffd/fsd/thermocouple
its the law, its the hobs theyre sayin have to have a supervision device, as some still dont have them
and, of course, depends whether u mean integrated oven, or a freestanding one
wont matter on an integrated one, because, obviously they dont have a hob on them
bit more info please?

Participantthe dryer ntc is mounted on the heater box at the top
the ntc does the same thing as a thermostat, but is more precise
easy to change, but as jim says, could just be a broken wireplug out if your going to take the top off to check………..

Participantthats 4 1/2 months longer than they normally last

Participantfill it full of water, let it run for 10 mins, and try it again

Participantjust make sure you take an eprom and board
obviously, check the sump, but its nearly always the pcb
unless, of course the pressure switch has gone, but i think ive changed maybe 1 or 2 of them as opposed to 50 – 60 pcb’s

Participantyup, they go all the time
no reason, other than theyre poor
hope this helps

Participantso, basically, you’d be happy to spend an extra, say , £1,000 to save yourself a hefty £10 – £20 a year?
and im probably well over egging the pudding
ratings , as kwatt says, are a bit of a joke, tbh

Participantthats because its an el160 mr penguin
thats what he said, anyway would be better with serial number/product code
the display pcb needs to be replaced whichever way
helo_75
Participante1 on a new wave is usually the heater being slightly down to earth
do you find the machine wont spin either?
change the heater, im sure all will be fine
Power off, first.
helo_75
Participantnope
most single ovens work well on a 13amp heated cable
all depends on the rating im afraid
unfortunately, we cant go greatly into details of the installation in your home, as we cant be sure what exactly we’re dealing with
if you have a cooker switch nearby, it aint so bad, if you havent, it becomes expensive, and has to be done by a qualified electrician, as you need to have a suitable fuse installed to your fuse box, wired throught to a cooker isolator unit, then wired to the cooker
not a cheap option, believe me, but needs to be done correctly for safety, and insurance purposes
more information would help.. i.e, do you have a consumer unit in the kitchen ( a cooker box, with a big red switch that says cooker on it)?

Participanti must say, its unusual one those machines needed to be regassed
id get em back, its either the gas is low, or the defrost heater in the freezer is faulty
either way, its not for the faint hearted
