no need, youve not fitted the pulley right
try pulling the belt over the tensioner, where it should be , its never a belt problem

wf/wt is just the model number.. i.e wf840 or wt761
i have a hotpoint machine at the mo.. naff,i know it, but i can fix it when it breaks.. but looks nice in the kitchen
hotpoints are made by indesit, and have been for a few years
yours would probably have been a wf/wt machine.. and would have had a 3 phase motor, makin its quiet because thers no brush noise
however, theyre pants.. as uve found, drums fail for laughs
ull be fine once it settles down and u get used to it. good choice on the bosch
yes the fd number is the serial number
the machine you have will wipe the floor with a hotpoint, regardless of what drum it has in it
you can find the fd number inside the door if you dont wanna pull it out
