ISE 10 coming Saturday afternoon for anyone who is interested. Phoned ISE to pay for my new machine and I have never spoken to such a nice polite man in my life, I am only sorry I never got his name to put it on here and say thank you. Well done ISE.
Oliver. 😀

Hi Quickwash,
I am dreading getting it up the stairs. Last time with the Bosch, which is 5kgs less then the ISE we had a swear break half way on the landing, according to the family they have never heard anyone swear just about constantly for 10 minutes! Perils of a Yorkshireman! 😆

I found them interesting when I was deciding whether to get an ISE10 (which I did, and am pleased I did).
I saw them when you first posted them up Jaunty, but I thank you for pointing me to them anyway.
I have ordered an ISE10, so my mind is made up! 😀
Thanks,
Oliver.

Hi Quickwash,
Thank you for the info on detergents. I will get some Ariel and give it a try and see how it compares to Persil.
Best Regards and thanks,
Oliver.

Hi Quickwash,
Just a thought about detergents, I currently use Persil bio, bleaching powder (green box), do you think Ariel Bio bleach cleans any better? I wouldn’t ask but I have just washed a Hi-vis jacket covered in grease, it has a soak for nearly 3 hours on the Bosch’s soak programme then had an Intensive 60oC cotton wash, however although the marks have faded they are not completley removed. I wonder if Ariel would have faired better.
I used to use Ariel but had a foaming issue, so did my Mum in her previous Siltal, so much that it poured out of the soap drawer during spinning, the drain system was clean so all the water drained it just produced too much foam. There was only 70ml in there but it recommended 100ml. I wonder if this issue has been resolved, I do not want to ruin my new ISE10.
And I don’t use conditioner anyway, disgusting product!
Thanks,
Oliver.

Hi Quickwash,
Thank you so VERY VERY much for doing this. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
That is just what I wanted to know. Now for the good news I am going to order an ISE10 tomorrow! 😀
If it can remove copper grease the it is one hell of a washing machine, that certainly is no mean feat.
Likeing the kettle and black bit, I get the same too :rolls:
Thank you,
Oliver.

I wonder if Super-Rinse adds 2 rinses, as it says in the manual upto 7 rinses depending on which programme is selected. So if it altered from 3 ro 5 rinses then your press super-rinse it will do 7, that adds up?
Conversley if you select it to do 5 rinses it always will do. But if you select super-rinse it will do 5 rinses temporarily, or while the option is selected?
And Super rinse will always make Heavy do 7 rinses as the programmes do 5 as standard.
This probably makes no sense to anyone but me! :rolls:

Hi Quickwash,
Thank you for that.
The wash times are definatley an acceptable length, not this 2-3 hour rubbish common on the lesser modern machine.
Yes I agree from the pictures there must be alot of water in the drum to reach the door surround. The Bosch has a 5KG drum so it maybe a similar amount. 😀
I wonder if the washtime with a higher water level is the same as it shortens the wash. The Bosch will do this, if higher water level (the Bosch has this exact button too) is selected into wash, even though it has more water to heat which takes longer it decreases wash time as the clothes come clean easier in more water, it also reduces agitation too. This was also noticed on Miele machines with Water Plus selected in the mainwash phase. I find it washes better with more water in the wash, that could be personal prefernce though. When I was a child we had a Servis Quartz which filled 1/4 up the door to wash and 1/2 to rinse, I think this was the reason why I like to see more water in the prewash and mainwash phase.
I am more and more sold on the ISE10, thanks to your good self and others in particular Jim. 😀
Best Regards,
Oliver.

Hi Quickwash,
Thank you so very much for doing this. I really cannot thank you enough. :worthy:
Jim has sent me a copy of the manual so I know how it works and what the functions do. But it does not say how high the water goes or how much time extra rinses add.
I am more than impressed with what I have so far found out and if the higher water level checks out OK I will be ordering an ISE10 next week as my Bosch is dropping bits of drum spider all over my clothes. 🙂
Thanks once again,
Oliver.

Hi Quickwash,
If it is for minimal amounts only and no more I would suggest you get a Henry Micro (has much finer filtration) and use it with Hepaflo dust bags. A normal Henry is not suitable and the Micro model dosen’t cost much more either.

iadom wrote:With regard to weight removal I would suggest that would be a no go on an ISE. Its a major strip down to remove the cast iron weights and as the whole of the machine is a very heavy beast it wouldn’t make much difference either way.
Also not sure about the 1607 but on the earlier ISE10 it is possible to set it to the 90° wash and then reduce the set temperature by increments.
This is a bugger.
However we got the Bosch up in one piece at 68kg, the ISE is 73kg so not really alot of difference.
If the rinsing is up to standard I think I will be buying an ISE10.
Thanks Jim.

Thank you for that Quickwash, I would really appreciate that. I am guessing it may fill to the bottom of the door glass, and if so 7 rinses would clear the soap, but comformation of this would be brilliant.
The 75oC wash is mainly off commercial machines, but the odd domestic one in years gone by had it such as the old Hoovers (Electrons and the like), it was called “Whites Economy”.
Thank you
Oliver.

Oh damn memory…….. :rolls:
Sorry, Quickwash, how high do the rinses fill up the door on the cotton programmes normally without any additional options set? You seem the idea lady to be asking! 😀
