Heater and or fill valves not over expensive. A simple electrical test of those components is required.

Could be one of the fill valves has failed.
The heater itself is a common failure as well.

PS. Bicarbonate and white vinegar is virtually useless for cleaning your machine despite all the nonsense posted on the internet to the contrary.

Using a very small dose of ‘green box’ powder detergent or a proprietary cleaner plus the regular hot washes is the way to go.

Re: Hotpoint AQ9D 69 I (UK) Front Panel Removal

Not certain, it was a while ago now but I think I once managed to change the front weight on one of these by accessing the bolts by furling back the door seal. I am almost sure I then managed to manoeuvre the new weight into place from underneath with a bit of a struggle. Carefully lie the machine on its back and possibly remove the hose from the drum to the pump to give you a little more room.

Front panel does not remove, the whole drum assembly has to be lifted out of the cabinet.

What is wrong with the weight, has it crumbled in pieces or has it just fallen off?

If you are going to attempt this then I would advise removing the drum before ordering any parts, most of the time the outer drum that the weight is bolted to is damaged which would then need a complete drum assembly. 🙁

Not from the error codes which don’t cover every possible fault, just from experience. 😉

I think it might also be the prewash light not rinse. The WMA’s used to flash the prewash light for same fault.

Not at home now but I think the top light of the six flashing may be a fill valve fault.

Thanks for the offer but I don’t personally need those parts. You could put them on EBay I suppose?

Wouldn’t go for an Electrolux, just a tarted up Zanussi, Miele is a much better option IMHO.

Hard to say if it is just a board failure or caused by a fault elsewhere, unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to find out on the one I went to.:(

I have a 1607 myself and when the time comes to replace it I will buy a Miele.

I have had one fail like this, sadly it was the main control pcb which customer decided was too expensive.:(

    Listed at around £190.

Do not attempt to remove the ‘black spider’ under any circumstances. The inner drum has to be removed to access the bearings.

Have you checked your PM’s ?

    Check your PM’s

I do know that some of the trade members have done bearing changes and report that it is not an easy or simple DIY job. 😉

    Re: ISE W256 bearing removal

Never had to do a bearing change but you do not need to remove the large cast iron bearing support frame. You remove the inner drum and knock out the bearings from there.

Note the word ‘bearings’, your first post says bearing. 😉

Not sure about Martin but in all my long, nay very long time in the trade I have never ever ‘bench tested’ any motors.

A-11. Wash pump faulty or wiring / connections between pump motor
    and module faulty.

Wash pump is one of several known weak points on Indesit dishwashers. 🙁
