ModeratorRe: Hotpoint WMF560 fault
You can always get them repaired, impossible to know the cost without isolating the exact fault.
Faults on the Indesit electronics are very common and not cheap to fix.
A faulty heater is quite a simple task though.iadom

Methinks Andy is in danger of confirming a cultural stereotype. :rolls:

ModeratorRe: AEG Lavamat 6100 – extremely loud on spin cycle
If you can take the back off then remove the drive belt, then open the door and give the drum a quick spin round by hand. If it is noisy when you do that then the drum bearings have failed, if It is nice quiet and smooth then the main motor bearings could be faulty.
Either way an expensive repair and main bearings become very expensive if left for any length of time making a noise.
Be sure to remove the mains plug first.

Not advancing during the wash cycle ‘could’ be a heater fault. Simple to check the heater if you have a megger or suitable multi meter.
Does sound as though the console module may be faulty though.iadom

Thanks Lawrence. 🙂

ModeratorRe: ISE/AW23 drive pulley.
Oh dear, pulley is not broken, just loose/worn on shaft and making a loud knocking noise. Will have to try and secure it somehow. 🙁

ModeratorRe: ISE/AW23 drive pulley.
Any luck in finding one?

ModeratorRe: Beko drive belt
I had looked in the store but couldn’t see the correct model number but obviously didn’t look closely enough. :innocent:
Will hang fire until you let me know if you have sourced the AW23 drum pulley. 🙂

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint TDL30 front felt seal
In my experience when this fault has been ignored the drum front or the metal duct has worn too thin, you have nothing to lose by trying though. The bottom edge of the drum and duct carry the weight and most wear, not the top.

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint TDL30 front felt seal
Sounds like you left it far too long before replacing it. Sadly the original metal front duct is NLA. The drum and duct kit that replaced it is also now obsolete. 🙁

Link works fine but you have to be a registered trade account holder to access by the looks of it.

Would have to re title it, ‘Several things you should NOT do with a new machine’ .iadom

andy-from-Ireland really is a prize t*t and no mistake, just read through his previous, can we not ask Dr Dill to come back and have a word with him. 😈
I’m guessing he has a new machine and is already tipping it on it’s side, wanting to mess up the pressure switch and trying to find out how to alter the spin programming. :rolls:

Is this a new machine, did you replace your Hotpoint machine, the one with the pressure switch you ruined?
Yes it does have the OKO ball in it.
PS. I have merged all of your recent threads, lets try and keep it all in one place. :rolls:
