    Re: indesit washing machine

Unusual for door to lock and yet none of the lights to be showing.
Sadly the electronics in Indesit machines have been very suspect for many years now.

Any further suggestions would be pure speculation but circuit board failure is high on the list of subjects, doorlock wiring also suspect.

May be covered for parts for five years. 😉

You have a five year parts warranty. Phone Hotpoint and they will fix it for labour only, labour not cheap but much less than you or anyone else can repair it for.

Re: Candy Smart touch washing machine series – any good?

No, they were made in Italy in the CANDY factory, as most Hoover machines have been for the past 15 or 20 years now but in recent times they have had several models made in China and even the Italian produced machines have had Chinese motors in them for a while.

This dryer will almost certainly be one of the recalled, fire risk machines, has it had the safety modification done?

    Check it here. https://safety.hotpoint.eu/index.jsp?lang=en_GB

Not great, a lot of them made in China these days, the Chinese made brush gear motors they use are rather weak for a start.

Re: replacing water level switch on Hotpoint washing machine

First things first, there is absolutely no need to try and adjust these pressure switches, ever. :rolls:

Trying to adjust them to get more water in the drum is just futile.

There are two different switches for your machine, you need a C00381612, list price is only £16.50, no point buying suspect parts on Flea Bay. 😉

PS: Dr Dill hasn’t posted for a while so the worst you will get from me is :rolls: smiley.

Apart from the fact that you have now opened up the switch, why do you ‘need’ to replace it?

You should always replace with the correct part.

If you give us the full serial number and commercial code we can give you the correct part number.

Smeg might be wishful thinking, it is an Indesit with all the baggage that brings with it. 🙁

As above insulation test on the tube heater first port of call.

PS. It is a BFI 680, I for integrated. 😉

That would be the best place for it, we don’t normally leave a shadow when moving a thread but it might be a good thing to leave one for this one.

Sadly it matters little what make it actually is, the chances of getting service manual are very slim. 🙁

The Sebo is the weapon of choice for the vast majority of the commercial cleaning companies, different class to Dyson by a long chalk.

    Re: Wml 520

Could be a faulty door interlock switch but an unusual occurrence without showing an error code.
Could be a burnt or breaking wire to the door switch.
