You should drill them out, I tried 8mm bullet drills but they used to last for two or three bolts, if you were lucky. Now use standard shape 8mm Bosch titanium drills from B&Q, goes through the bolt heads like butter.

Never seen a spider fail on one of these and the water round here goes through other spiders for fun. First time for everything but I doubt it will be spider.

Martin, clip is from the lower end of the connecting rod that went from the ‘flip up’ control flaps to the base mounted switches on a Hotpoint Countess wringer machine.

I glanced at the stats earlier, West Ham, the home team 7 attempts only 3 on target, Man U the away team, 18 attempts 9 on target. According to the papers a definate penalty appeal turned down. I had a feeling the ‘New Manager’ effect would kick in, still have a lot more points than your lot. 😛

The hardware key on its own doesn’t give much more information than the flashing light or digital display error codes. At well over £100 and reported to be rather delicate it seems like a complete waste of money when Indesit refuse to allow you access to the software required to run the diagnositics or reprogram eeproms.

Missed the game, playing my first game of squash for 10 days after suffering a groin strain. Saw Chelsea play poorly for most of the game ,scored three crackers though.

It sounds as though the rear bearing has failed. On the back of the machine, dead centre you will see a small cap secured by two screws, remove this to reveal the end of the bearing shaft. It should be obvious if it has failed, try lifting the drum at the top rear and you may be able to see the play in this bearing. Be sure to remove the mains plug first.

If you mean that the first neon from the left is flashing then that signifies that you have water in the base. It could be an internal leak or due to using 3 in 1 or 4 in one tablets, these can cause over foaming and flood the base.
As this is an integrated machine you will need to pull it out, hoping that whoever fitted had more than the usual single brain cell that most kitchen fitters are blessed with. Then place some towels on the floor and tilt the machine backwards or to either side. If you get water flowing out from underneath, this will confirm a flooded base. You could then try the machine again, if the fault occurs again fairly quickly then you need to find the source of the leak. Plug out at all times, if you need expert help try the link at the bottom of this post.

F05 means pressure switch is stuck on full, could be plocked pump or filter, faulty pressure switch blocked pressure hose etc.

I think the best thing to with with these machines is to leave of the numbers in the fault codes and just tell it to FO. :rolls:

I have recently fitted one of those to a Hoover/Candy tumble dryer. mounting it safely would be the biggest problem, but it may be a last ditch alternative this side of Christmas.

    Thanks.
