ModeratorRe: Qualtex ARM 20
I fit on average a couple of these every week,, must be well over 2000 fitted in past 27 years, bearing failure rate under warranty virtually nil.
Have to go now, have to show my grandma how to suck eggs, 😉 🙂 8)

It is supposed to signal that the heater relay cannot be energised. In practise a large number of engineers will run a mile on hearing the dreaded words,
“F08 or 8 flashes”. Speaking from (bitter) experience it can be one of, or a combination of, wiring, connection blocks, module, thermistor, pressure switch etc.
A very common fault that solving can be a nightmare. Would advise that you check the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can assist.
Please remove plug if you intend to have a poke around yourself.

Perhaps as well. 😥 I have to say that historically I have found ARM 20’s to be at least as reliable as the gen, although always seemed as little noisier.
Had one today that I fitted only three months ago, it was making a fearsome noise due to the bearings coming loose on the armature shaft, to loose to loctite. 👿

ModeratorRe: Europa Solarplus replacement oven door
Looking at the diagram which is not that clear, it does appear as though the lower fixing brackets are part of the door glass assembly. My own Hotpoint built in oven has a similar door and the lower brackets are fixed to this. The diagram does not list the fixing plates separately so it looks as though you should be OK with the door glass alone.

ModeratorRe: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!
Sounds like a blocked pump. Have you tried cleaning out the filter at the bottom right, behind the kickstrip?

Neons 1 & 2 flashing can mean software recognition error, but can also mean timeout draining ( blocked pump) a more common fault than software fault.

What puzzles me is that our friend from Comet, macmini is listed as the Author of this thread.?????

I still would like to see the article. Who and where is Jim?It wasn’t an article as such, it was a post, possibly in the public forums regarding constant one shot failures on these machines. The full conversion kit is the best way to overcome this problem.

Yep, always build the drums up at home, have to keep the squash arm exercised, no namby pamby electric drivers for me. 😆

I always say, a good engineer does not need a torque wrench, you just develop a natural feel.
Done loads and never had a problem. (yet) 😉

9040 does not mean anything as far as ID is concerned.
You can order that part from here spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
However it would be at your risk if it turned out to be the wrong part.
NB. Just had another look and noticed that there are two sizes, the number I gave originally is for a 60mm width unit. If yours is 55mm wide you may need a 6101649.iadom

I’m sure that Waters was in Floyd very early on. Dave Gilmour was brought in when Syd went off the rails. He actually formed the band with Waters.
Although one of the more commercial early Barrett tracks, I still like to hear Arnold Lane through a modern hifi system, the driving base beat is a great sound.

If you really want to know what nasties are poking around inside your PC, slowing things down etc, then download and run Hijackthis from here.
http://tinyurl.com/3ch8x, scroll down the page a bit.
It will produce a log file which can be interpreted by experts ( I know a couple) who will tell you everything that is on board that really should not be, they will also tell you how to remove it.

Its alright, but I prefer a more ‘hands on approach’
AV from Authentium, Zone Alarm Pro firewall. Mailwasher Pro, SpywareBlaster, Spybot S&D, Windows Defender and keeping a careful watch over it all. Prevx One ( the dogs doo dahs)
Belt, braces, and suspenders. 😆
Never, ever had an infection of any kind in over 10 years.
