    Re: hotpoint bf162 [indesit] dishwasher

I have seen several causes of leaks, had one today that was the circulation pump itself leaking, have also seen hoses adrift, leaks from around the sump chamber ( an absolute pain to replace ).
Also using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets can cause over foaming and flood the base.

I could offer you our spare room at a reasonable rate Geoff. 😀

Does your spare room come with a free Cher look-a-like?

No, but we do have a strictly enforced ‘No Shorts’ policy. 😆

Check for loose tacho magnet, sometimes the machine needs to warm up before the magnet starts to slip on the shaft. A bit of loctite and a sharp tap usually does the trick.

For some strange reason, kiddo is paranoid about a ‘mole’ or something. 😉

Sorry I missed this Chris, hospital visits, a game of squash and the tea to make afterwards.

    With the machine switched OFF
Press & hold A B & D buttons, Press the On button and the display will show WM1000, press the A key to scroll through the model options until you get to WD1200, press the START button ( the display will show ENGLISH)press again and display will show SELECT PROGRAMME. Config is now complete.

They used to have 10 courts at Prestwich, the whole ‘Village’ concept started in this area, Village Hyde was the first and Village Prestwich the second. In those days almost 20 years ago they where primarily squash clubs with bar and restaurant. Then they started to add hotels and as the squash boom declined the courts slowly became gyms etc.

The squash club is still known as Village Squash with several teams in the local leagues.

Fairways Lodge, thats the old ‘Village Prestwich’ .

I was so looking forward to a trip North of the border, not sure how I can convince the wife it will be a good idea for me to pop 20 minutes down the road for a couple of days. 😥

    I assume you mean a Hotpoint FEW10 ?

I will send you diagnostics info for WMT02, it has the exact same PCB so it should be of some use.

Would be very surprised if motor brushes had failed so soon unless the machine has been hammered.

Part number for buttons is 1604589.

    Re: HOTPOINT WF240

No diagnostics that you can run without the overpriced hardware key. Even that only gives you basic info that the neons also show. Full diagnositics only possible with an EMIT laptop and relevant software. 😥

There are two PCB’s on this machine, the console module and the horrible Indecent Companies offering down in the base. The buttons themselves are separate from the board and it may be possible to free them off, they could just be gunged up with something that has been spilled over them.

I would try to free the buttons first before trying a console PCB.

Fault codes are in the known error codes thread.

PS, please kill the CAPS LOCK 😉

    Re: Quick Wash fault

This one was being used on a Cottons programme, customer was aware of restrictions on use of Quick Wash. That info would possibly explain the reason for my Press & Hold SPC button twice tactic eventually clearing the problem.

Will see if it crops up again.

Some useful ‘in house’ info here as well.

I sorted an 8 flasher with a new heater relay on Saturday morning.
