Verbatim from tech info.
F03. Front NTC open or short circuit.
Verify efficiency of the J12 connector on the board.
Verify NTC on J12 connector, the value at room temp of NTC is approx 500 Kรขโยฆ
If the measurement is out of range verify continuity of wiring and verify directly onto NTC without wiring.
Replace NTC.
Replace main board. ๐ฅ

F10 is heater, common open or one shot device OC.
F03 is front NTC open or short circuit. This info is from VTD65 but codes are the same, there are two thermistors one at the front and one at the back.
Manual also says that if changing NTC does not cure fault the module is faulty. ๐ฅ
Just checking on Partfinder the front thermistor appears to be situated around the same place the stat was on earlier models.
Also two different ones, before date code 51, part is a 1702790, not interchangable with later one.

Don’t fit the heater without checking the drum support, a cracked support will damage the new heater in no time at all.
If you rotate the drum so that the three ridges or paddles that lift the clothes are at the bottom one after the other, put both hands ( fingers only inside and pull the inner drum towards the door seal it should not move towards the door seal.

1+3 suggest a water level control system fault, very ticklish electronics on these machines. It could be anything from a small hose blockage, loose connections, faulty pressure switch, control module etc. Other than the module most of the other causes are not over expensive. It may be worth seeing if we have an engineer in your area, try the link in my sig.
Remove the mains plug if you intend to investigate further.

Re. spin speed are you saying that there is no benefit ffrom spinning above 1200rpm? I never realised that.
Thanks.
The amount of water extracted between 1200 & 1600 is not worth measuring, all 1600 spin gets you is more noise and wear & tear on components. Unfortunately to achieve the AAA rating the machine has to spin at 1500 or faster, about as much use as a 200 mph supercar when the speed limit is 70mph. ๐

Hi Wilf,
Don’t have that one but checking on Partfinder reveals that it has exactly the same modules as WMA63. Earth wire should go onto a tag on the chassis.
I will send you the diagnostics for that, it may be of some help.

Looking at the WF540 and WD640 with 3 phase motor green/blue goes to 6 on the block and green/brown to 5.

Pump running on may not be a fault in itself. If the machine goes into error mode during the cycle it will switch the pump on, show an error message and bleep, the pump will run for quite a long time. If there is any up and down movement of the inner drum or if you can pull it towards the door seal, then a corroded drum support is the most likely cause. If the heater shows signs of damage then that would be my first port of call regarding E15 when machine is emptying perfectly.
I have cured several E15 errors with a new heater but cannot thing of a single case of needing a module, however there is always a first time. There is a ‘knack’ to most things in life, I prefer to call it experience ๐ Unfortunately due to safety and legal reasons we cannot enter into ‘blow by blow’ details, however the shaft is part of the drum support anyway.
As the heating element is around a 1/4 of the price of the modules, either of which can be faulty, I think it may be time to call in the experts.

Accessed by removing front of cabinet.
If the element is sound then a module failure may be the culprit.
