    Re: Hotpoint WM72 Error 15

Although E15 is supposed to signal a drain problem it can also be caused by a faulty heater. The element only needs a tiny amount of current leakage to cause this fault. This can be as a result of the inner drum catching the heater due to failed drum support or distorted inner drum.

Tests need to be done with the mains plug removed and the correct electrical test equipment and experience.

No GDA BC22 listed on Partfinder, there is a Hotpoint BC20 listed as ‘Slimline, Integrated’ which does appear to be a Bosch under the skin, try and describe the part us to see if we can help. 🙂

Possibly not emptying correctly, could be blockage , faulty drain pump or electrics to the pump.

Please remove the mains plug if you intend to look inside or click the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

Click on ‘Search’ type in Smeg, select the dishwasher forum and have a read 😉 Not the worst by a long way but there are far better options out there.

Re: Help With An Indesit Washer

To be honest it is difficult to advise on a problem like this without actually being able to see the machine, they are not built to a particularly high standard to start with 😥 , also the electronic controls can be very troublesome. Another posibility is that the inner drum support may have fractured. This can happen with excessive use of economy features with liquid detergents, very common in soft water areas.

It might be time to get someone with the required knowledge to have a look. Try the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

    THANKS

Ps would the part number off the machine help in sorcing the concrete

No, some of the info from the Indecent Company is a little mixed up to say the least. I can identify the bolts, but the washers have two numbers, one of which is called a kit???? the concrete weight does not have a part number but there is a strong possibilty that the number for one of the washers is actually a kit for the whole thing. I will make some enquiries and get back to you ASAP.

    Jim.

EDIT. further information suggests that the machines with the heavy cast iron bearing support do not need the top weight.

Is the machine stable when you run it without a load?

PS – who put the extra bit on my last post ?? 😮

😳 Twas me, I was rushing off for my game of squash and hit the wrong button, still alls well that ends well. As someone who has witnessed Leeds fans at close quarters both at Man U and at Oldham Athletic I can honestly say that I am “OVER THE MOON” also glad to see Captain Birds Eye miss out, he was chairman at Oldham Athletic for a while and left the club in a right mess.

To be fair Watford did finish 2 places above Leeds in the Championship so they deserve to go up. The performance over a full season is far more important than a one off game IMHO. 8)

Apparently FSE and call centre staff at the Indecent Company now have their own forum, sponsored by Amicas, wouldn’t you just love to read some of the posts on there. 😉

Re: Help With An Idesit Washer

According to the diagram there should be a large concrete block on the top of the drum but it doesn’t seem to have a part number?? The bolt mountings at the back are for securing the drum when the machine is in transit only.

    Re: ariston a1235 fault

As this machine is fairly new and is in fact a Hotpoint based machine with the rather unreliable Indesit electronics in it. The fault codes for these machines are different, the Hotpoint varient uses five ‘Option’ neons down the left hand side of the console for fault codes. At the moment I would guess that the information on your machines fault codes will not be widely available.

If your neons are in a bank of five, then if it is the same as the Hotpoint machine the third neon from the bottom ( or the top ) indicates F02 which could be a motor fault, does the drum revolve smoothly if you try to turn it by hand ?

I am not sure, but you may have a five year parts gaurantee on this machine, if so you will only pay the Indesit Companies £89.95 labour charge, all parts will be free.

EDIT. Looking a picture, your machine has a different display/console module to the Hotpoint so the fault codes will differ. 😥

I’m sure he will calm down once the novelty wears off 😉 , he seems to have dived into at least three threads that are well over 9 months old or older.
If not, will it be a case of Ken saying “Beam me up ScottD” 😆
