Come on Watford 😆 1 – O . can’t believe I am supporting a southern team but the way Leeds played against Preston, and their fans well documented animalistic behavior over many years gives me all the reason I need. 😉

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint WMA63 burning smell
My own machine is a WMA63 and when my wife uses it she never alters the spin speed and 9 times out of 10 at 1600 it makes quite a bit of noise.
I have replaced the suspension and mountings to no avail.
Knowing that the performance difference between 1100/1200 spin and 1600 is negligible I always reduce the speed to between 1000 & 1200 rpm and that makes a big difference to the noise levels.
Top cover comes off quite easily, prise off the two small caps on the side of the lid at the front to reveal the torx screws, push back and lift at the same time. You will be able to see one of the concrete balance weights that Martin mentions but very little else that can cause noise. Plug out at all times.

Hi Bob, its the old Qualtex CD rom parts ordering/ID software. Superceded by their online system. I still use it for some of my orders, linked via fax to my local ( Stoke) dealer.

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Ultima TDL60 Dryer – Won’t start
To be honest I think you have gone as far as you can without a wiring diagram and a multimeter or meggar.
No known obvious causes, main problems with this machine are stats, belts and rear drum bearings. Control timer, door switch, module etc are not common failures and can only be tested with the aforementioned technical information, before you ask we cannot supply that as it is under manufacturers copyright, sorry. 😥
Possibly time for the experts, 😉

Thanks for that Simon, that came up on my aged copy of Freefind but lists it as OE number 612041092, however it does look the same, will give it a go.

Heaters are a common source of trouble on these machines.

Thanks Chris, I have actually just been looking through the Masterpart catalogue and although my eyes started to glaze over after several lines of WTF or similar I came across a 142154 listed for a WFF1201, Masterpart price £42.00 ex vat 😯
A pattern number would be very nice, cannot see a Qualtex equivalent in their catalogue.
Jim.

Part is a 1600514, an e-mail to shop@ukwhitegoods.co.uk is all you need.
The best suggestion of all is, don’t buy a washer/dryer.
Failing that look at mid to upper priced Bosch, Siemens, Neff. If money is no object then go for a Miele.

‘Tweaking’ brushes to get a liitle more out of them is one sure fire way of damaging expensive electronic components, for the sake of waiting a day or so and the cost of new brushes it is a definate No, No.

If so we can supply. If not then you may have some difficulty, Necht ( Maple Industries) is not renowned for its back up. 😥
1st one fits upper left or lower right of the cabinet, the other one fits upper right or lower left.

Also count the number of flashes on the mains neon when the knob starts to click round, it should click a set number then pause, then repeat this ubtil you stop it.
The number of flashes is an error code.iadom
