Spoilsport, 🙂 I was just going to post a link to a new Bosch D/W to see if he would take the hint. Daves approach is perhaps for the best. 8)

He appears to have drawn Turbo into his web ATM, I would love to sit back and see how their relationship evolves. 😆

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Aquarius Noisy on Spin – Any help please!
If she cannot find her details, give us the serial number from the door hinge and we should be able to date it, we can tell month of manufacture and if it is under 5 years old she should be OK.

So after a few minutes investigation and head scratching I started looking at the new motor, and there it was!! Instead of fitting the new plug to the loom, the clown who replaced it had shaved off the locating guides on the old plug. That was almost standard practice for Hotpoint engineers, it works perfectly and never causes problems, unless you remove it then refit it without taking note of its original position. 😥
I’ll bet you check the next one. 😉

Hi Ade. I have copied your second post on this machine into this post and will delete it.

I’ve replaced the heater, but am now getting flashing button 4 (auto eco). Hotpoint advise it means “time out on heating check thermistor positioning on dispenser”. Can anyone tell me what I do now, before I finally have to call in the engineer? Many Thanks. It helps to keep things tidy and means that if anyone replies to your original thread you will get a notification.
Neon 4 flashing may mean the base is flooded. When you replaced heater how did you refix the hoses. The original clips are almost impossible to refit, you may have a leak from your handywork.
With the machine unplugged tilt it backwards or to one side, if water runs out then you have flooded the base.
If there is no water then it may be time for the experts. 😉

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Aquarius – Conditioner problems
This can be caused by using a conditioner that is to thick, poor water pressure or sometimes by careless filling of the soap powder, ie pouring it in and getting some into the fabric conditioner compartment. Also depending on which model you have ( you didn’t say) 😉 you may have the drawer set for liquids whilst using powders. This can cause the powder to splash over into the conditioner compartment and will block it very quickly.
If the type of conditioner you use is on the thick side then water it down a little before use or switch to a different brand that is more fluid.
