    Re: Indesit WIDL126s flasing LED’s

This indicates a pressure switch problem, or at least it is supposed to. The electronics on these machines are known to be very ‘ticklish’ . Please remove the plug if you intend to have a look inside or try the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help you.

Pressure switch itself is not to expensive, but other things such as hose blockages can cause this fault.

dan0k5 wrote:I had the same problem on my hoover washer dryer, the same as yours it took the repairman two weeks to find the problem, he replaced, the timer, the bearings, the module, the armature the motor, the belt, the brushes. after replacing all of these the fault still occured, the repairer tried on the off chance giving a quick blow down the drain pipe, it cleared the pressure switches or whatever theyre called and it was back to normal.

Anyway the problem ahs never occured since one year on touch wood 😀

Just thought i’d have a quick input

    Hope you dont mind

I hope you are not still using the same repairman. 😯 😉

Dave_Conway wrote:As no-one else has mentioned it, the bearings may be wearing which would explain the belt position on the pulley.

Is the machine noisy on spin (rumbling etc) ?

If the belt was badly worn/stretched it would have fallen off by now 😉

    Dave.

It did briefly cross my mind, but if the bearings had failed so that the belt was moving on the pulley, no one in their right mind could ignore the noise and the rusty stains on the drum and chassis, could they. 😉 🙂

    Re: Hoover CA232 Timer ??

Thanks Dave, I did mean the motorised selector, but if Freefind is incorrect, check out the picture on Masterpart. it is nothing like the one I have seen today. The Freefind picture looks more like the correct part.

That part number comes up as a dryer timer on Freefind, and entering the same number on Masterparts web site comes up with a picture of a completely different, small round timer. 😕

As others have said, not an Ariston.

Went to fit door seal today. Fairly standard wire and spring fitting on outside, prised seal off to find that the inner clamp was a wire & nut and bolt type.
Had to remove front panel, when I had worked out how to access the various screws, then remove the large front concrete balance weight to allow me to refit and tighten the inner clamp. A bit awkward as the inlet hose had to be removed from soap drawer and the rubber pressure chamber and hose actually go through a hole in the concrete weight. Did initally try a Zanussi spring clamp but the lip that clamp fits into is not very deep so it was not a viable alternative.

It looks like England are once again trying to give Sri Lanka a chance. Last two wickets Sri Lankan put on 60 runs, then Strauss is run out when well set. 😥
I don’t like watching paint dry, I love it 😛

Not so that you would notice, I know which I prefer 😉

The extra water extracted is very minimal.

Well thats the best way to avoid the dropped catch problem, Sri Lankan opener clean bowled by Hoggard in first over. 😀

Or as Fred Trueman used to say in one of his tales,” bloody ‘ell, ump, I nearly had ‘im that time.” 😆

Suggests possible heater fault, quite common on these Indesit machines.

May be the heater itself but could be wiring or controls, testing with the correct equipment is the only way to determine the cause. Click the link in my sig to see if we have somone who can help.

Please remove the mains plug if you intend to go inside yourself.

    Jim.

PS. Are you sure about that model number, not shown on my list, or given your username are domiciled a little south of the UK. 😉

    Re: van stock ??

Get all your parts invoices together and they should give you some idea of your recent usage.

It really depends on the range of appliances and more important the size of your van. 🙂 Trying to give you all the part numbers would be a little difficult to say the least. For instance I carry one Hotpoint WM drum support with me and have another four at home. I can use three or four in a week then none for a week or so, however an engineer working in a hard water area would rarely use one, he may however use far more elements than I do.

To your short list I would add, door seals, pumps, door interlocks, bearing kits, drum supports, heaters, just for starters.

It really is all down to experience and proper stock control even if it is all done in your head ( like mine ) 😀

If I find I am constanly having to order the same part then as long as cost is not an issue I will start to carry it.

A regular stock taking should identify parts that you have to many of, or are not using as often.

Got the same e-mail today, however that is at least the fourth one in a similar vein since I registered 😥

May just add it to Mailwashers ignore list . 😉
