    4 + 6 is a heater circuit fault.

    Heating element, connections, module,
relay, pressure switch, foaming can all cause this error code.

Possibly not the best examples TBH. Hoover was never a ‘British’ company, American owned from the start until much later. Hotpoint was totally British owned until 1989 when GE of America took a 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} stake. It wasn’t until 2001 that Merloni bought into the company.

Apart from Germany which are our prosperous neighbours, with massive unemployment in major countries like Spain, Italy, Greece etc?

Here is a question for everyone, if you had to vote on Thursday to ‘join’ the EU in its present state how would you vote. 🙂

If this is a fairly recent machine then it will be Indesit made. The main circulation pump/motor on these is very prone to failure.

But then so is Russell Hobbs, Kenwood, Hotpoint, Hoover etc, etc. All now average to very poor, cheap imports. 🙁

As rickard is trade Dave I doubt very much that he would ever buy such rubbish. 😉

He could always ask at ASDA, if my memory is correct they own the Russell Hobbs brand name, most of which is now Chinese made. 🙁

    Re: Dishwasher quandary

As Dave says, they are all basically very average Indesit produced machines with exactly the same mechanicals inside. Those are suspect electronics, main circulation pump and heaters that fail on a regular basis with quite flimsy wiring in the door as well. 🙁

Ah, that’s the later type of condenser, that filter would cause problems in that condition.

C00193127, not certain but I’m sure the later one will fit in place of the earlier one.

Re: Hotpoint WDL520 Aquarius washer drier

Dryer water inlet is only a steady trickle, there is a plastic, gauze filter above the condensor, accessible by removing the heater box that often gets clogged up. The unofficial fix was to remove as much as possible of this filter. I always cut out and discard the small gauze windows in that filter.
