Jealous, the last time I counted we had seven Premiership titles to your three, 😛 and at least I live in the area, all I can see is Spurs supporters in Yorkshire and Ar5e supporters in Wales, nothing in your own patch take your fancy then. 😆

At the top of the forum page, look for ‘search’ click on this then enter a simple question or model number, keep it to as few words as possible, select the forum you think is appropriate and hit the return key.

The part you need is a C0008660. Send an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and it will be sorted for you. The site charging £20.00 was a rip off, and you would have no doubt got the wrong part.

Sole was very nice, washed down with a surprisingly nice bottle of La Terre blanc from Tesco, only £2.99 on special offer. 8)
Did you get the info I sent you?

Correct, however there is more than one pressure switch fitted to this machine, we would need the full serial number to determine the exact part required.
As a note of caution, the fault codes on these Indesit/Ariston machines can be ambiguous to say the least, however a pressure switch is not too expensive so well worth a try.
Please be sure to remove the mains plug at all times when you have your hands inside the patient.iadom
ModeratorRe: Candy dq130 Washing Machine
Thanks for letting us know the outcome, its what I always call the ‘half term’ curse, the number of times I have had calls on Hotpoint machines with no spin, then found that the grandchildren had fiddled with the controls during the holidays is countless. 😀

ModeratorRe: Cricket, lovely cricket.
Possibly because it has the name of a proven world class cricketer, rather than a completely unproven ( at the top level ) footballer. 😛
Just remind me, which bunch of wazzocks did Rooney score a wonder goal against at the tender age of 16. 😆

No sequence charts in most of the later manuals Bob, the Last Error test routine is the same as posted in known error codes for WMA machines with five option buttons but on this machine, substitute Rinse Hold & Energy Save, for Super Rinse & Rinse Hold, then after pressing Start/Cancel for 2 secs, press Energy Save for a split second, the rest of the routine is then the same.
I will send you the diagnostics and test info later tonight after I have had my Dover Sole which I am just about to cook.Jim.

ModeratorRe: Van Speed Limit
Many years ago I was pulled up on a motorway and given a warning for “driving to near the limit” in a Hotpoint supplied Escort van, I was doing 70 mph. I seem to remember in those days that if you had a small window just behind the drivers door you could drive a small van at the higher limits. Reading the link posted above that seems to have been altered to relate to size and weight now.

ModeratorRe: creda excel 1200
Full model number and serial number ( 1200 is the spin speed ) would help. 😉 Usually on the door inner or the hinge.
If it is a 17113X then there is no user accessible filter as such, there is a plastic cage within the sump hose to collect coins etc, etc that sometimes gets bunged up with fluff, also the pump may be failing.
Please remove plug if you intend to investigate further or click the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

Evening jj. Would the console PCB be likely to cause the door lock to stay energised?

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint WF220P console replacement, set-up
This machine is a Hotpoint with Indesit control module including eeprom down at the bottom in the same place as on the Indesit. The console PCB is basically a programme selector board. Completely different to WMA or similar machines.
To fault find properly you need the scandalously expensive hardware key and for full diagnostics an Emit laptop with the Wash Doctor software installed. 😥
The five option buttons down the left hand side of the facia are supposed to flash error codes in conjunction with the On/Off led. did you notice if any of these led’s where flashing?
The only error code related to door switch is F17 that relates to door lock problems and module & connections. I would have though that dodgy connections would be more likely to cause the door lock to fail to operate rather than stay locked. It does sound more like a control/power module fault. Around £74 ex vat list, that is without the eeprom, another £8.00 plus vat.iadom
