It is this part of your first post that points to a drain fault, have you tried it on long spin when it is completely empty of water, without any clothes in it. If your outlet pipe is connected to the sink waste then it could be a partial blockage there rather than inside the machine.

The water level switch that controls the amount of water going in also prevents the machine from spinning if there is still water in the drum.

    Re: World Cup 2006

I suppose that Middlesborough being Yorkshire’s nearest thing to a Premiership side, they could do with a little company, I am sure that Sheffield U will perform as well as Sunderland did and leave the Premiership to Lancashire & London again, with the occasional spark from Newcastle. 😆

County Palatine, the Premiership County. 😛

And Lancashire are currently top of the County Championship and the C&G northern division. 😛

    Re: hotpoint 800 walking!

It depends on what you had in it at the time. If it was a normal load, with several similar sized items then you may have a problem. If you have tried to wash a couple of bath mats, sheepskin rug, large heavy sweater, extra large towel with a few bits or any other load that is likely to go ‘out of balance’ then it may be the load that caused the problem.

800 is only a spin speed, we would need the correct model number to give you a better idea, there are several different control systems used on these machines so other reasons for excessive jumping can vary.

. A much better player than Rooney,

I beg to differ, Rooney has a far greater physical presence, has the inate ability to see things around him and has a much stronger shot with either foot, he also has very good defensive qualities. At the same age as Walcott, Rooney was already playing in the Premiership regularly. Ar5ene Wenger is a better judge than I am, are you seriously saying that if Rooney was at Ar5enal he would still be in the reserves, I don’t think so. In three years time I may have to re assess the situation but for now Rooney is head and shoulders above Walcott. Theo that is, not Sir Clyde. 🙂

Talking of cricket 😆 I have just found out that young Theo Walcott’s great uncle was a legendary member of that great triumvirate known as the 3 ‘W’s, none other than
    Sir Clyde Walcott 😆

    K.

Well that could certainly apply to the current Leeds side, I dearly hope that Watford ( sorry Palace ) can beat Leeds in Cardiff, the last thing the premiership needs is Leeds and their loutish fans. They beat Preston in the qualifiers last night but collected 8 yellow and 2 red cards. Preston’s Brett Ormerod was stretchered off after only 11 minutes with a suspected broken leg after an awful tackle from Douglas, and the Preston keeper has a suspected fractured cheekbone after Creswell trampled on him. The ghosts of Billie Bremner and Norman Hunter are alive and well in this Leeds side. 👿

    Thanks,

    Keith.

As far as I know the only way to do this is to buy the ridiculously expensive hardware key, oh and you will also need the laptop with the EMIT software on it for full diagnostics 😥

Strange why it should only happen on two settings, has the machine been tried on one of these programmes without a load to eliminate the possibility of OOB often associated with washing one or two woollen items.

Perhaps johhnyj may have an answer. 😉

If you drain the water out completely then set it to long spin, does it then spin. If you lower the grey plastic outlet pipe into a low bowl and the water flows out then you do not have a blockage, you may have a faulty pump or a wiring or control fault preventing the pump from running.

Power off at all times when you have your hands inside.

    Re: Hotpoint BFI680 Fault Code

Hi Ade, 5+7 means that the heater is not working. Quite common on this Indesit 😉 machine.

Heater failure itself most likely cause but can be wiring or other faults. Please remove mains plug if you intend to investigate further or click the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

    Jim.
