If you get stuck I have a tripod kit you can have for a modest consideration. 🙂

❓ This is a tumble dryer query, are you thinking about the well known tip for refitting WMA washing machine belts?

Sounds like your fault may not be the pump itself. Time for an expert opinion. 😉

Re: Hotpoint TDL11P Ser.no. 90101556 Felt bearing probs

I have done a few of these conversions, difficult to do it for less than Hotperloni’s labour charge the kit is around £50.00 plus vat. 😥

The felt seal is easily worn away, the kit includes a plastic duct complete with the old style bearing pads that they have also had to reintroduce on the latest machines in place of the drum support bearing pulleys that make an awful noise.

Far more stress on the front & rear bearings with the introduction of ‘stretchy belts’ in place of the old jockey pulley system, still that’s progress. 😥

If you do order this kit, make sure you open the box and check everything, I have had badly dented drums and, I even had one that had the drum for the much earlier Hotpoint dryer in the kit, the drum opening was about two inches smaller. 👿

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius DF62 will not take in water

A bit puzzled here, to access the ‘drain’ pump correctly, you need to remove the outer door panel and the lower kickstrip, plus another galvanised backplate.?????

Also the drainage pump should not turn easily, it should flick round in 90° increments.

Unless you have kinked the fill hose as well, I think it is time to call on the experts. 😉

I assume you checked the pump by removing the small torx screw inside the dishwasher and lifting out the cover.

    Re: Pump problem?

Is the machine doing the wash, are the spray arms rotating and spraying water out. If yes then you may just have a blockage, if not you may need a complete motor & pump assembly.

Only one pump/motor on these. For safety reasons we cannot go into precise details, other than to say it is low down at the back.
Please remove the plug if you intend to proceed or, click the link in my sig to see If we have someone in your area that could help.

    Re: Sold The First One

The e-mail you recieved with your reference number etc, included PDF’s of the registration forms 5+5 or 1+5 . We have to print them out until such time as the machines are supplied with the documentation.
If you have mislaid yours I can e-mail you the PDF’s.

I now have a separate folder on my PC into which I pour all the ISE info.

    Re: Registration confirmation.

I am not directly selling the machines Kevin, even though I would guess that almost all of the sales will be from my contact with the customer. It was just for a little piece of mind, knowing that my customers are ‘on file’ so to speak. 🙂

    Nige

Very good advice from nigegt, this belt change is not a DIY job, very difficult, the Hotpoint engineers have a special tool to assist refitting of this belt.

Ah, I see what you are getting at, unless someone has been fiddling I wouldn’t think that is the case here, its a fairly new machine.

just been to one that needs a support tube this afternoon, machine is over 20 years old though. A prime candidate for a new ISE. She is consulting her husband tonight. 🙂

    Re: H/Point T/L Suport Tube

They have been obsolete for over 2 years or more, I gave up trying to source these a long time ago. a very common failure in this soft water area, such a darned shame to have to scrap perfectly good machines which are definately not BER, for this problem. 😥

It is a major problem for those people that have their kitchens built round a top loader. The Bosch & Zanussi alternatives are not always a solution due to the position of the controls on one, and the pump filter on the other.

Re: how to fix a belt back

The belt used on most of the recent Indesit machines are like most machines of today, ‘stretchy belts’ that is to say the belt is not adjustable but relies on its elasticity to remain in situ. It is not uncommon for these belts to come adrift on Indesit machines. Refitting will be a temporary cure, a new belt is your best option.

Also make sure the drum revolves smoothly, small socks or similar jammed in the drum can throw the belt off.

    Remove plug at all times.
