Well as no one else seems to be around ATM, I have taken a deep breath and deleted two posts by jota advertising his spares website in the Trade Spares and Classified forums. I have sent him this PM.
‘Hi jota,
I have deleted your posts in the classified and trade spares forums. If you want to advertise your site then please seek permission from the UKWG’s site admin first.
We want to keep a level playing field for everyone, so whilst I don’t have the final say so, I strongly advise you to contact kwatt or kheath and ask for their consent first.
Regards.
Jim.’
I hope I have not over reacted.
Jim.

Darned server, cleared a couple of double post there. 😉
The one I did last week was my first, not to bad. One thing I did notice, I am not to sure how long they have been using these but after all these years with that pathetic plastic rear square bearing bush, they are now using what appears to be a phospher bronze rear bearing.

A well known fault that has been modified, they have reverted back to the old type bearing pads, its whats called progress 😥 , a conversion kit includes all seals, pads, drum shaft and fitting instructions. Some engineers leave the pulleys in situ but I removed them completely on one I did last week.
Part number is 1703080

Has it reduced the incidence of this fault johnnyj ?

Just put that number into masterpart online and it didn’t bring anything up, Qualtex catalogue ( a bit out of date) doesn’t have anything that looks like it either. 😥

Thats the one, just had a look on Partfinder and it lists the later heater box, different element, fluff filter and a filter hose ❓ done away with, also the machine now has a 3 way fill valve instead of a 4 way valve. You just isolate the unused valve. No changes to the electronics are required.
Changed as from date code 40.

For future reference should anyone else have this problem, a little bird 😉 has informed me that there is a modified heater box assy that is supposed to cure this fault, hopefully. 🙂
Part number is 1605230.

Jeepers mate, what time is it in Oz. I use Ambersil 108A High temp adhesive. looks like I may need the nail varnish remover to get of anything the customer has tried to use first. 😥

ModeratorRe: Baumatic oven
Thanks for your reply, not to sure if that is the case here though, the customer has already tried to glue the panel back on, not to sure if he used a suitable heat resistant adhesive though.

They will both be gifted, likeable, intelligent members of the human race, its just one more blessing/burden us cack handers have to put up with, oh and it annoys our opponents on the squash court. 🙂
My handwriting is also awful, unfortunately when I was young it was the done thing to force you to use your right. Thing is I can peel vegetables better right handed than left, and use most of my tools with either hand, the right almost as well as the left, yet I am completely left handed/footed.March 5, 2006 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Creda Continental twin fan assisted main oven not heating #167597iadom

Model number is more important, serial number is secondary info. 😉 Model number will be on the same plate as serial number.
At least eight models called Continental.

Let us know how you go on, reading back on your first post, anything that is smelly after a sub 40° wash is just not being washed at the correct temperature with the correct dosage of a good quality detergent. Whilst all detergents contain most of the same basic ingredients, the better quality ones contain a wider variety of the various components that make up a modern detergent., for instance you need different types of enzymes for different stains.
Also if you are in a soft water area, the regular maintenance wash with a small amount of powder or tablet based detergent is essential.iadom
