If the drain pump fails, normally the machine will not take in any more water. If you do find water in the base and the machine then runs I would suggest keeping a close eye on it for the next couple of washes.

I think you need to reset your forum clock alf 😉 , messages actually posted at 10.39 am & 11.24 am., whilst on my ‘lunch break’. Already done a WMA complete drum change, a 261055 fridge stat, and a set of Zanussi carbons before 10.00 am. 8)

I wasn’t just thinking of ukwg, a full Cd in seconds will be quite nice, 🙂 just a pity that upload speeds lag so far behind downloads.

Not long now before I get the free upgrade from 2 meg to 10 meg, then things should really start to fly. 🙂

AAAGGHHH. The site has been very hit and miss for the last few days, and at all times of day, just timed out halfway through submitting a reply.
Anyone else find the same?

Could be that the float switch in the base has stuck, so machine still thinks its flooded. Although a jammed drain pump shouldn’t cause a flood.
May be base is still full of water, unplug and tilt the machine to one side or backwards to see if you get any water draining out.

Will bear that in mind, I have been to three Creda dryers in past week, unfortunately no 37753’s. I would have noted the connections had I done so.

Oh dear, not the best thing to do, by all means tilt, lean, lay on correct side dependant on model, but never turn completely upside down. 😥
There is always a residue of water that can run into all sorts of places that it should not if you turn it over. drum can also come of its mountings.
