Poor old Kev Heath is about to repeat the whole process in the eastern half of the country over the next two weeks which will be even harder considering the time of year. I just hope he finds the guy’s half as friendly and welcoming as I have West of the Pennines.
Though there are those who say that the best thing to come out of the eastern half of the country is the M62 (Only joking Kev)
Joking, its a lovely sunny morning here in Lancashire, first call at 7.30 was just over the hill in Saddleworth, who’s inhabitants insist on saying they are in Yorkshire, it was dismal, dark and foggy. Reminds me of a line from an Oldham Tinkers song called Owdham Edge, ” And now wi cum to Yorkshires line, ah cahnt see nowt past theer but grime,” 😀iadom
ModeratorRe: Creda 37747 Condenser dryer
The stat above the door should not cause the other stat to trip. The only time I have changed them is for a no heat fault. I did have one similar problem until the customer admitted that her little brat ( son ) kept pushing the door even when told not to. They fitted a plastic cupboard child lock and I have not been back for a while. for the small cost of a capacitor it may be worth changing one if you have not already done so.

Just checked, in fact the inner door has cost me £9.95 ex vat, its the Silver outer door 369605, with a list price of £37.01 inc vat that I find excessive. I paid £28.95 ex vat. 😥

Whilst not wishing to be a wet blanket, it should be remembered that these are real people we are talking about, all be it in a restricted forum. We should be very careful in what we say about. or call anyone on an web site.
No one knows if the person called a woofta or one called very rude has any relatives in the trade. :lesson:

Use the search facility for this forum and all will be revealed, in the meantime I will try and find it for you.
Edit. here is one of many.
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … light=testPress and hold the On/Off & Start buttons for a couple of seconds. Until D Off appears in display.
for some reason best known to themselves Hotpoint/Indesit forgot to put this information in the user manual, not sure if it has been added to later editions.

ModeratorRe: hoover classica A8604 – does it have a filter??
Hi Jen, In answer to your first question, no there is no filter on this machine.
Now for the smell. Firstly, make sure you use a good quality detergent such as Ariel tablets,( use Ariel Color for dark colours) Own brand and cheap detergents, particularly liquids will cause smells when used consistently at low temperatures.Avoid over using economy features and excessive low temperature washes. Try to do at least one hot 60° wash every week without economy or fast wash selected and once every five or six weeks do a maintenance wash, a small amount of detergent, no clothes and set on 95° wash.
Also make sure that if your machine is plumbed into the sink waste that the sink is not draining back into the washer.
Excellent article here plus lots of other useful advice. hereiadom

The bearing repair is quite expensive, if it is causing the motor to stall then it would suggest that it is beyond bearings alone. That would require drum support and drum rear half plus seal. Difficult to cost out without seeing the machine but you would need to budget for between £110 & £150 minimum. The fabric conditioner is the least of your problems. I would advise that you get it seen to ASAP if you intend to keep the machine, you may damage the motor as well if you keep on using it.
If we have no one on Repairs@ in your area then PM Dave Conway or one of the other mods, they sometimes have details of reputable engineers that are not listed on the forum.
