Whilst that is an excellent temporary measure, I would not recommend it as a permanent repair. You would have to remove the valve mounting bracket 1604743 to fit the hose direct to the valve. If someone needed to move the machine in future and was unaware of your ‘fix’ they would be pulling the hose directly on the valve/dispenser assy rather than the cabinet & mounting plate.

ModeratorRe: Indesit D41 Mystery Fault
From the description you give, plus the lights you mention, it all points to a problem with your kitchen supply, is your machine built into a unit, can you pull it out into the middle of the kitchen floor whilst still connected to mains electricity, and the fill & drain hoses ( you should be able to if it was installed correctly) and try it like that. Examine the fill hose carefully for any signs of kinking. Other than that, decorate the garage, it could be your new kitchen extension. 🙂

I know this may sound obvious, but I assume you have checked that your water supply in the kitchen is working OK ? No kink in inlet hose when machine is in situ, tap not faulty etc.

F-13 on the Indesit Washer dryer (same company, similar electronics) means, as you already now know, a fault in the dryer side of the machine. It could be caused by several things, loose wires faulty NTC or temperature sensor, even faults on the main control board. Would advise clicking the link in my sig, please remove the plug if you are going to open the patient up. :zap:

Model has the 100 bit control card so the list in known error codes thread should help, if you can find out which buttons they are.

Just a thought Tony, have you tried the machine with the air hose disconnected from the pressure switch.

Oh dear. 😥
The fault is caused by the internal motor cooling fan, the plastic one, inside the motor. It has broken away and is making a real racket.
Unfortunately I havn’t got any other details other than model 620.
I doubt that this fan is available as a spare so it would need a complete motor. I dread to ask, does anyone know the part number and the price of same. 🙂

Thanks Dave, somehow I don’t think she will bother. Her husband used to change them but has passed on 😥 . After she saw the struggle I had trying to get the front grill back on, and reading the handbook noticed that these filters should be changed every 4 months, I am certain she will not be to upset.
