Re: English Electric cooker clock request

Hi Ruth, you’re first post is fine for a forum newbie. Sorry to say, but you will find it virtually impossible to source any parts for a machine of that age. It will have been declared obsolete more than 20 years ago. As long as the machine is working then I wouldn’t worry about it. lots of old cookers, central heating, and other appliances with old type timers run perfectly well for years making all sorts of groaning, clicking, growling noises, ( a bit like old service engineers ) 😀

Is that a dishwasher Alex, I can find a DF22 but cannot see a BF22 on Partfinder.

    Re: Re necht dishwasher?

This machine is a chinese made appliance, of very dubious quality, the official agents are Maple Industires/Kitchens or whatever the are calling themselves ATM from Oldham. You will get little or no help from them, Dave Conway may know of a source but personally I would steer well clear of any Necht appliance. 😥

    Welcome to the forum BTW.

    Jim.

PS. Do a quick Google for Maple Industries, it may put you off going any further. 😥

That gave me some of the best laughes I’ve had in years, I followed it from the start, when it was initially a timer fault, before the bearing saga that almost had Martin reaching for the Valium. 🙂

funny thing is, in the Hotpoint DWF40 derivative, what appears to be the same part is called a cap, with a different part number. Had one of these on which the pressure sensor had blown out of the small rubber diaphragm hose and flooded the base last week.

What can I say. 😳 I am honoured indeed to join your merry band. I do hope that I live up to expectations. I will do my best to uphold the ‘mood and tone ‘ of this forum. I have been a long time member on other forums, mainly Ntl related, one that has always been moderated on very similar lines to this, and one on which the mods often reacted in the most inappropriate way 😥 .

As this is my first venture into being a mod, on second thoughts, no it isn’t. In the 60’s I had a Lambretta and all the gear, bought my clothes mail order from Carnaby St etc.
As this is my second incarnation as a Mod I hope to be able to count on your help in feeling my way round.

    Thanks once again.

    Jim.

    Re: Indesit D41UK leak

It could almost be the same answer as another post, there is a device , in the parts list it is called a ‘bodytop overflow’ a small round plastic thingy just behind the lower spray arm, it allows an overfill of the inner drum to flow into the base.

    I’ll send a new one anyway 🙂

    Dave.

There are two different pumps, one has an extra hose not sure if it is for detergent recovery or for a door seal drain but I was sent one of these in error a while back and just plugged the hole. On one type of pump this hole is blanked off.

Difficult to tell on Partfinder, there is a small doofer called a ‘bodytop overflow’ part number 075726 that could be the thing she has pulled off, it looks to be a small vent of some description.?????

Does the machine go into drain & spin correctly, if so I would suspect a module fault.

    Re: Ind W123UK (BG)

All very confusing Chris. Partfinder lists no parts for W123UK(BG) even though it lists the model number.
For a W123UK(BG)M module is 093157, eeprom 089846. for that serial number

for model W123UK(BG)P module is 093157, eeprom is listed as W123UKBG, 094742 with no serial number alternatives. ❓

Heres a thought, I admit that I have no idea of the costs involved, but what about UKWG setting up our own in house module testing and repair facility. Ken, Kevin and the rest of the ‘gang’ don’t have much on their plates ATM. 😉 😀

Its ‘Natural Linen’ actually, thats what the N in WM72N stands for. Would also concur that the heater is faulty. 🙂

    Re: Another joke.

    The Vet

A woman brought a very limp duck into a
veterinary surgeon. As she lay her pet on the table, the
vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to
    the bird’s chest.

After a moment or two, the vet shook his head
sadly and said, “I’m so sorry, your Duck
    Cuddles has passed away.”

The distressed owner wailed, “Are you sure?

“Yes, I am sure. The duck is dead,” he
    replied.

“How can you be so sure,” she protested. “I
mean, you haven’t done any testing on him or
anything. He might just be in a coma or something.”

The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and
left the room, and returned a few moments later
    with a black Labrador Retriever.

As the duck’s owner looked on in amazement,
the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front
paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom.
He then looked at the vet with sad
    eyes and shook his head.

The vet patted the dog and took it out, and
returned a few moments later with a cat.

The cat jumped up on the table and also sniffed
delicately at the bird from head to foot. The
cat sat back on it’s haunches, shook its head, meowed
softly and strolled out of the room.

The vet looked at the woman and said, “I’m
    sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}
    certifiably, a dead duck.”

Then the vet turned to his computer terminal,
hit a few keys and produced a bill, which he
    handed to the woman.

The duck’s owner, still in shock, took the
bill. “£250!”, she cried, “£250 just to tell
    me my duck is dead!!

“The vet shrugged. “I’m sorry. If you’d taken
my word for it, the bill would have been £35, but
with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it’s now
    £250.
