Doesn’t look like it , usually inside door. Does look like a complete door though.

There are a few different models of this so correct commercial code would help, however I think this is the one you need.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

Would you care to enlighten us, do you mean the mains filter?

I somehow don’t think Whirlpool would be spending all this money if a simple mains filter change would cure it and TBH I don’t recall seeing many Hotpoint dryers with burnt out mains filters and as the filter is right at the back, top corner it wouldn’t cause the extensive damage seen in the many pictures.

In 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of main filter ‘burn outs’ the fuse or mains trip is taken out long before any major damage is done.

The diagrams for these are not very clear TBH.

Can you tell me the number of the part you think you need from the attached screen dump?

    Jim.

Moved, for some reason you posted in the Dishwasher forum. 🙂

All these new dryers are Whirlpool based dryers as far as we know but it’s unlikely anyone in the trade will have had any direct experience with them as yet.

    Curious,

I will just make sure I change white with white and black with black to be on the safe side. 🙂

Strange, perhaps Nomadpaul may know the answer?

Re: Bosch interlocks, what is the difference?

No, both physically identical apart from colour. The only reason I found out there where two different ones was because I had problems with one machine.
I carry the 631638 as van stock and have changed them many times without problems. I fitted one to a machine but it failed after 10 months which puzzled me a little but when the one I replaced it with also failed by refusing to open after a month I then checked on the exact model number and found the different one.

The ‘apparently’ incorrect one did function correctly for many months in the first instance though. ❓

Both appear to have the standard delay at the end of cycle. TBH I haven’t seen any of the small ROLD interlocks that open instantly, only the ones that have the loud ‘solenoid’ click. ❓ ❓

It looked like 54 months on my phone screen with my contact lenses in ( just played squash) 🙂
That said I have had two Bosch machines less than 3 years old with drum supports failed last week.:(

Re: Hoover DYN 8164D2X/1-80 hot rubber smell.

Apart from clothing stuck between drum and seal (usually caused by overloading ) this problem can also be caused by a broken inner drum support spigot, if that is the case then it will tend to be noisy on spin with heavy loads and the inner drum will appear to be a little off centre.
A very common occurrence if constant low temperature washes are used, especially combined with liquid detergents and soft water areas.

If that is the case then it is BER.
