    Re: Narrow machine required

Several manufacturers do top loading machines, although most are drum wash, not agitator. If you do a Google for ‘top loader’ you will find lots of info. Certainly, Bosch, Whirlpool etc do them.

Go on, give it a try, I will go halves with you. I’ll take the rear half. 😆

Just thinking about this, perhaps your order was automatically altered to a complete drum assy.

No, did check those. Have asked customer to try on a 40 degree wash on the long spin cycle and it has gone through OK.

Many thanks for the PDF… Dave.

Re: Hoover AC 110, over heating.

That would suggest the 40/60 temps are achieved with timed heat which suggests my suspicions about the control unit could well be correct, unless there is another stat at the front of the drum?

    Re: hotpoint dryer

I think this machine has the old type single element, more prone to failure than stats on this one, although PF shows spirals. Still not something that is easy to dismantle without experience.

Know what you mean, many years ago had a machine that had been used for almost 12 months with transit packing in place. The woman and her husband physically held the machine down when it came to the spin cycle.

Message on the answerphone this morning from an older lady. Rang her back and her first words where, “did I leave my correct phone number” 😀

    Re: Wierd WMA

Exactly what happened to me, fortunately I was on the phone to my supplier on another matter and just happened to mention the rear half kit I ordered the day before. He said that it had come up as a complete drum which he was about to order. He then phoned Hotperloni and was told it was not for general release. I told him I would have the basic rear half instead.

    Re: Wierd WMA

According ot my usual supplier, who I have no reason to suspect is telling porkies, he has just been given that information on the phone by Hotpoint/Merloni. Have you actually managed to order one of these. ?

I have tried to find that part on several different WMA’s in partfinder and up to now all come up ‘part not found’
