    Re: Bosh Motor Thermal Fuse

There is a VERY strong possibility that even if you replaced the cut out the motor would blow the circuit board again as soon as it ramps up to speed.

Re: Hotpoint top loader washing machine

You must be stopping it mid cycle to find this out?

Not a very common machine, not seen one myself in the field.

A common cause of this fault on front loaders is due to overfilling the rinse aid compartment. Try putting half your usual amount in and see what happens.

You may find it easier with the top off and possibly the rubber door seal unlipped. There is nothing that the hinges themselves slot into.

But the grill elements in their small built in ovens are still pants. 😥

Crusader was an old Creda name, as Liberator was old English Electric.

Only at first Don, Comet changed the name and they have Proline on the front of later models. Check on Partfinder and you will see Crusader and Proline listed separately . Look at the models and you will see the Crusader is earlier production.

Just checking on the Proline range there are at least 4 models sold by Comet that are of the same design as well, who is going to cop for those I wonder?

Definitely a Hotpoint/Indesit clone. The one they show looks identical to the Indesit of the same period.

13 SWAN models made by Hotpoint.

Ms Beer on ITV again this morning, this time on about the SWAN branded dryer.

I have just checked on Partfinder and there are several models of PROLINE dryer that are the same as the recall models.

Purely a personal view but I wouldn’t buy anything Indesit and everything sold as Hotpoint is actually Indesit, apart from some very recent tumble dryers that is. 😉

Sadly Hotpoint was taken over by Indesit more than 10 years ago, Indesit themselves where taken over by Whirlpool in 2014.

squadman wrote: The New reported quoted Whirlpool as stating that they were completing 400 modifications per day ?

They are actually claiming over 4,000 per day.

“There are 5.3 million machines so it’s going to be four years before they have done them all. That is not reasonable.” But Whirlpool denied it would take up to four years to clear the backlog.

And it said Mr Noel’s claim it was repairing 3,500 dryers a day was wrong.

In a statement, Whirlpool said: “We are resolving over 4,325 cases a day. It would be misleading to speculate on the time necessary to resolve all the cases.”
