Try to straighten the hole as much as possible. Just clean what you can access from the hole and by removing one of the plastic drum paddles from inside a of the drum. Removal instructions for the drum lifter/paddle are in the user manual.

Heater removal is often fiddly. I would refix the nut if you can still get it on the very end of the threaded part. Don’t tighten it up, just fix it to the very end of the bolt then tap the bolt inwards. Then it just a case of levering the heater and the rubber seal out with flat bladed screwdrivers or similar.

If you push the door across to the left you will see a small slot on the right near the door handle. Slide a thin knife or teaspoon handle into this to release the door.

I have just looked in the shop here and cannot see the heating element for the ASKO produced ISE machines listed. I will try and find the correct part number and post it back to you. If you isolate the heater connections and then try the machine on a rinse and spin cycle you will know if any more serious damage has been done before you go to the expense of buying a heater.

Just to add I have seen machines work for years with one spoke missing.:)

Morning Don, saw this post yesterday but don’t recognise that number as a proper serial number. Could be much older but even so it just sounds like a faulty thermostat. Well worth repairing if you can actually identify the thermostat which any decent refrigeration engineer could do.

A smell of burning rubber can be caused by the inner stainless steel drum rubbing on the inside of the rubber door seal due to drum support failure. Furl back the lip of the door seal and look for evidence of this.

Intrigued as to how you saw smoke coming from under the DRUM when the machine was in operation with the door closed?

Reset on early models is simply power off for at least 30 seconds.

NB. You wouldn’t actually see a leak, the water should stay in the base and trip the float switch. You could try unplugging and then tilting the machine to one side to see if any water runs out.

Error codes for earlier LFT 114’s, I think they are still the same.

Heater failure quite common on these, it’s integrated into the circulation pump assembly and can be checked with a suitable multimeter. If the heater is ok the main circuit board or breaks in the wiring harness would be next likely causes.

Just checked on my phone and tapping the three buttons gives me five options including edit. Mod privileges I guess.

Always worse for spider’s corroding in soft water areas, especially when using liquid detergents and constant low temperatures.
