    Re: Hotpoint CH60EKKS

Update, I do have a manual for C60 cookers which are basically the same cooker sold as Cannon. If you want a copy PM me an email address.

Don’t have a manual but the parts list just shows the bog standard controls, no sign of any pcb’s in parts list.

The most common cause of your ‘initial’ fault.

    Fill chamber and flow meter/turbine

That doesn’t mean to say that any water inside the sump will not run up into the pressure switch or get into other places it shouldn’t. Tilt them, lie them down on the correct side but never invert them.

The flow meter I referred to is part of the fill chamber located on the left side of the machine.
Unless you know a Hotpoint/Indesit service engineer personally you will be unlikely to get a wiring diagram. 😉

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO. :eeek:

That is a sure fire way of killing most water using domestic appliances stone dead. :crying:

If there was water in the base then you have a leak that needs fixing but you may have done other damage by inverting totally.

The tap symbol fault ‘may’ be a water inlet impellor fault.

Most **1 fault codes on Indesit dishwashers are for a flooded base. When you tilted it did any water run out from underneath?

Oh dear, I seem to have upset someone. 🙂

    Report

However I still ‘suspect’ he is bodging, however well qualified he may be and as for defamation my post was very carefully worded to say ‘I suspect it may not’

The SHOP here at UKWG’s stocks most brushes if required.

You could well be correct, not encountered one like that myself TBH.

Change the part I indicated, a known problem area.

It would point towards an OOB problem to be honest, you could remove the motor brushes to check on their condition.

They all say that!! Actually it is impossible to check a used pcboard other than by eye.
As previous comment it is usually the motor brushes worn out or more than likely jammed in their holders.

WHAT???? not totalshambles but certainly totalrubbish.

Checking a pcb board ‘by eye’ will only reveal obviously blown components but will not reveal any internal component failure, especially eeprom faults.

It is not ‘impossible to check a used pcb’, EMW for one do it all the time.

Not clear from the third picture, you need to get closer in but on the ones I have done the reed switch is accessible from the outside without removing the inlet chamber???
