Finally. 8) :rolls: took me twice as long to clear F21 than it did to change the bloody brushes in the first place, stupid idea. 🙁

Have you checked motor brushes and motor plug connections?

I have on occasion cut off the pathetic original motor plug and replaced with a better plug or even individual AMP tags suitably insulated.

Apart from the tip the only real cure is the later inner drum with the angled edge at the back, or tell the customer to hold the cabinet ( biscuit tin ) whilst it runs.

No and no, and ‘tinkering’ when you are not sure what you are doing could cause you to lose something you would rather you didn’t . 😉

Re: My new washing machine is totally unsuitable for my need

In a word yes, the WM76 is a totally different machine to the WMF and much older. For what it’s worth your new machine is actually 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit anyway. 😉

You will need suitable electrical test equipment to check the thermostats at the rear, be sure to remove the mains plug before doing this.

Often caused by failing to keep the condenser clean .

Re: My new washing machine is totally unsuitable for my need

I was being tongue in cheek with the WM76 reference, went out of production years ago but machines of that era are the only ones that will match your criteria.

If you chose to wash all of those totally different items in the same load then I am sorry but you are just not using the machine, any machine for that matter as it was designed. 🙁

The average wash load in the whole of the UK is much less than 3kg, if you want to stuff your machine full of items that should not be washed together then don’t expect it to wash properly.

Re: My new washing machine is totally unsuitable for my need

A Hotpoint WM76 would be perfect for you. 😉

Welcome to the world of the tree huggers, you will find that most appliances on the market work along similar lines. When energy rated performance takes control then lots of the things you liked about older machnies go right out the window. You would have to go up market to higher spec Bosch or Miele appliances and even then you would not get an ‘old fashioned’ wash performance.

PS. No one really needs 8kg washing machines in a domestic situation.

Still suspect a loose fan. Most likely the one at the rear but could be the internal fan.

A poor quality Indesit machine under the skin. :rolls:

You won’t find bearings because it has a totally sealed, unrepairable outer drum.

Unlikely to be suspension at this age, the concrete balance weights are prone to coming loose, breaking up or just ripping off the drum mountings.

There are two weights, one on top of the drum and one bolted to the lower front of the outer drum.

Couldn’t view videos but you should check for a loose rear fan, it’s behind the rear cover.

The jockey pulley can also cause a noise but it should stop as soon as the drum does.
