ModeratorAlmost certainly main motor failure. π

ModeratorBut do you actually hear it washing, are the spray arm’s rotating?

ModeratorWhen you say it runs for around two hours, is it actually washing or making the normal circulation sound. The main circulation pump/motor was very flaky on these Indesit built appliances.

ModeratorThere is a reason why the machine fills through the prewash drawer first. This is to allow a small amount of water into the drum to lift the plastic ‘eco ball’ located in the sump. This prevents the detergent from being flushed directly into the sump and keeps it all in the drum for best efficiency. A new detergent drawer should fix the problem.

Clicking on Customer Service just gets you a web page request form and a Spanish phone number. π

My general advice was always, never buy the appliances the kitchen company wants to sell you. Research and specify your own. If they can’t do that then go elsewhere.

ModeratorA quick Google for plastic washing powder containers brings up plenty.

ModeratorWe store ours in plastic containers with sealed lids.

ModeratorIt should wash out all of the detergent but as mentioned icy cold water is not as good as hot water at flushing out the powder. Also need to make sure the powder is stored somewhere dry.
