Have I missed something or not understood the rules?
Isn’t duplicating posts/topics a valid reason for deleting?
At the moment I wish the bottle of Southern Comfort in front of me HAD my name on it, arh well maybe later

Steve.
Sorry no, once a thread has been deleted, my understanding is it cannot be recovered. 😥
Let me say from the begining that I am not on the WTA council in any way shape of form but this is matter which does need to be cleared up for the benefit of all WTA members so in an attempt to gain some answers I have quite literally just spoken to the WTA Chairman.
Like most of us he runs his own business and unfortunately he has a problem forcing him to be out on the road for this week so he is unable to answer any of the questions I have put to him, which I understand if he were in a customers house or driving to his next call.
He has however promised an open statement on the matter most likely on Sunday or Monday of next week.
I think it fair that he have the opportunity to respond fully so I would request this topic be left alone to allow him that opportunity and we then take it from there if necessary.
Best regards to all.

ParticipantRe: Removal Of Adrian Welke
You miss my point guys.
Ken taking the arbitary action to remove a section of work from the person in question is likely to be seen from the outside as vindictive and supportive of the allergation being levied.
If however, Amica decide to remove him because he no longer meets the necessary qualification to do the work, then that is a different matter altogether.
Its a pedantic point I know, but I specialise and work in a different environment to you engineers, I have said before, I dont know one end of a screwdriver from the other, but I do know where to sit in Court. I work in a place where being pendantic on such minor points makes the difference between shutting down the argument or facing a long, expensive battle through Court.
It’s your choice at the end of the day, but if this were me, I would get something from the actual WP to say remove him for non compliance BEFORE I removed him from authorised list, because the technical term for doing it is known as a DEFENSE.

I caution you to tread carefully here.
I have no problem with the majority if what you have done above but playing devils advocate and with my legal head on now, you are at risk of allowing a personal insult affect some of your decisions.
On what basis remove him from the engineer search facility?
On what authority do you remove him from Amica work?
I fully understand removing him from ISE as that is your company and you do as you please with it.
You been accused of being a puppet master, do not accede to the accusation by knee jerk reacting to it, your better than that, I know, the vast majority of members know it and most importantly YOU know it.
Your being baited – LEAVE IT!

Participantregas mistake
Problem of course now is to prove the initial fault is still the cause of the current problem and not the wrong gas.
What has the cust said since you advised of the problem?
If it were us, I would attempt to refund any fee paid and walk away but technically you need to prove your mistake is now NOT the cause of the current problem, failing which it’s down to you to provide the customer with a level of compensation.

Talk to the customer cos if she finds out then the hard way involves replacing the unit and maybe some compo for pain and suffering.

Martin is completely correct on this.
DO NOT admit anything at all until AFTER you have spoken to your PL insurers.
Do not even acknowledge the letter from the recovery agent at this point and most certainly do not speak with them on the telephone at all, things have a habit of being misunderstood!
Finally do not sign any letter to the recovery agent unless advised to by your PL insurers.
Once you have spoken to your PL insurers take their advise, if you have any problems or do not understand anything ask them or PM me and I will advise accordingly.
Are you members of either the WTA or DASA?
