Even with a duff interlock the machine will run the pump. I’d be looking at brushes too!

Is there a new UKWhitegoods Fault Code Guide out? My copy is Issue1.1 April 2007 and could do with updating! Any moderators know? Thanks all. 😆

Re: Bosch Oil Resistant Door Seals

I have had several customers with the same situation. The constant hot washes and creams cause the ‘normal’ genuine door seals to curl up. The oil resisitant type are expensive but do work!

Helo_75, I think so!!!!!! Gents, good advice about the cables. If the fault returns I’ll have a very good look at the loom. Thanks for your help!

Have the brushes just been replaced? As new ones ‘bed in’ you can get this for the first few washes? If not, as others have said, motor on the way out.

    Thanks Geoff1.
Again, like Penguin45’s reply, there doesn’t seem to a problem with starting or running???
    All advice much appreciated though!
    Cheers

    Thanks Penguin45.
Did think of that and watched for 10min or so. Customer hasn’t complained of it stopping either and works fine until all goes cold one day! If, or when, the stat goes again though, I’ll take your advice and change the relay too!
    Many thanks!

Good chance it’s the spring. It has two ‘arms’ they bend and eventually snap. Spring can be bought seperately or the handle/latch etc as an assay. Sorry don’t have pt nos to hand.

    Re: LG Door Slack

Might be stating the obvoious but is the door frame attached to the hinge snugly? There are white plastic collars on the hinge pins, if these pins get lost or break the door frame will be loose on the hinge and that may give you the play you’ve described and the potential to leak?

    Thanks Chris, thought as much.
I’ll take it slowly. Who designs welded on front panels when you have a drum front plate that comes off?!?!

Re: 2 Year old Bosch washer stuck in drain????HELP

Had a similar job a few weeks ago. Machine was under warranty but Bosch wouldn’t come out until customer had ‘checked it’?? Customer’s husband had a broken ankle so wasn’t able to get down to check filter etc. I was asked to look and diagnosed a faulty pressure switch. Bosch engineer then came out and confirmed pressure switch which was changed under warranty. Good Luck!

Hi Geoff. Can’t remember having that fault myself. Have you tried Bosch’s Technical Helpline? Always been good with me 0870 242 6660 (Don’t forget ENR & FD numbers) Jason
